Reviews
Write a ReviewGreat customer service and got our HVAC running smooth!
Knowledgeable and very good diagnostics. Lived up to the name of Call Dad with Dad jokes. Very good customer service
Perfect efficient work and rapid project completion.
Great job. Professional and thorough start to finish.
ZERO STARS!! Had a "plumber" from Call Dad to fix a blocked toilet. Had to call someone from Columbia since apparently, they don't have plumbers in Charlotte (WTH?) even though they claim to have local plumbers. Guy charged me over $400 and told me they had to call another company to actually fix the problem. This company was also out of Columbia and didn't serve Charlotte. Plumber said he couldn't do anything and I had to call another plumber but did not offer any refund. Called another plumber and he fixed for a little over $100. Call Dad lost another customer! Looking at other reviews here, I'm not the only one. From Invoice: "Once toilet was pulled I snaked the toilet to ensure it wasn't lodged in P-Trap. Attempted to reach 1 Tom plumbing where I was informed by Carly that they don't service the residents zip code area. A main drain line company will need to asses further. " Spoke with the homeowners and informed them t
We had two Carrier HVAC systems installed, to the tune of $25K. As the installer was getting ready to leave he noted that there was an error light showing but it probably won't be a problem until it gets colder and we need to use the furnace. Really? Wait for it to fail? No, I had him fix it. I expect to have a new system which is operational, not one which will probably fail on us later! Amazing! A little over a month later the furnace went out anyway. They tech looked at it and told us the control board as bad. On a system which was only a few months old! Even better, they told me they could not get a replacement any time soon - factory problems or something. Again, really? There is not another board to be had anywhere and we had to deal with no heat for about 10 days. Thank goodness we were on the downside of summer. The salesman who sold us the system leaned heavily on the fact that we would be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $3200. Great... More in the next post
Very professional & kept me informed of all findings with sound recommendations
The showerhead was repaired, but as the technician was putting it back together, he accidentally broke a gasket. He then went back to his warehouse and brought me a brand new showerhead at no extra cost. THAT is how you keep a customer happy. Will definitely use this company again.
I've had a service contract with them and their predecessor companies for a decade. I get up-sell pitches with each service visit since Call Dad. The last visit needed a condensate pump. They charged over $500 (this was already a semi-annual service visit under contract) and pitched a new igniter and capacitor at equally obscene markups. When I didn't renew the service contract, they removed the in-contract discount for the pump. I'm looking for a new HVAC contractor.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We truly value your feedback. Like Dad always says, "You get what you pay for," and at Call Dad, we make sure you always get the best. We understand that our prices might seem higher than some, but we ensure that every dollar you spend translates into quality service, better products, lasting solutions, and the peace of mind that only Dad would approve of. And we will always be here to back it up. Last, but surely not least, while we try to run a tight household, we will never cut corners when it comes to investing in the best team, with top-notch training. One of the goals of routine maintenance is to spot issues before they become problems. We make recommendations on findings, and it's always your choice whether you'd like to move forward. We were the same company as our predecessor company. The only thing that changed was our rebrand to Call Dad. We'd love to discuss the removal of the in-contract price. Please reach out and ask for Katie Biddle. Thank you!
He came, he saw, he fixed.
