On time and took the time to explain what needed to be done and what my options where. The tech was professional and pleasant. I will use this vendor again in the future.

I used your website to find an electrician in St. Petersburg, FL. I’ve used your site very successfully three times previously and didn’t hesitate to trust it again. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with Bolt Electric. While the scheduling process was easy and the electrician arrived on time, the electrician recommended repairs that were not needed and that would have been extremely costly. Fortunately, knowing that I had just completed a total renovation of my home, which included passing multiple electrical inspections, I called for a second opinion from a master electrician… who validated that the claims the Bolt electrician made about the status of my home's electrical system were completely untrue, including providing me with pictures to substantiate the assessment. The Bolt electrician charged me a ridiculous sum of money for the work he did do -- $290 to replace a GFI and a breaker... the parts were less than $25. I had to get the repair completed so I authorized the work, but I would never use Bolt again. In addition, and this is small, they charged me a Fuel Charge of $14.75 that the receptionist said was a standard fee, but that wasn’t communicated to me as part of the scheduling process. I realize it’s not a big sum of money, but it should have been explained upfront. I’ve asked twice for my bill to be reviewed and adjusted, with no return call. Please don’t let people continue to get treated poorly by this company. Your service is too valuable to our community to be tarnished by companies such as this one.

Response from Company:

We apologize for any confusion you may have experienced regarding the charges for their electrical work. As per our company policy, the price was provided before any work was done and the job was agreed upon with a signed invoice before we began the work. Each charge is clearly explained and also listed on the invoice. We do our best to clearly explain all work and the costs associated with our customers. We regret that we were unable to effectively communicate this time. We hope this offers some clarity to the situation.

I was hesitant to use this company because I couldn't get a quote over the phone. Was nervous about paying too much for the job. Once the technician came the price was more than fair and the work was very good. Jeremy was very professional and polite.

Had two guys come out to see why my kitchen outlets were not working. While they were there I realized it was just a flipped GFCI outlet that was hidden behind a jar on our counter. They knew what it was as well and continued to unscrew my outlets even though all they needed to do was reset the GFCI. I gave them about 3 minutes to be honest and they never said anything. I told them to stop and that I had made a mistake, they stopped working, looked up at me and smiled. As if to say we all know what happened here and you found out we were trying to do extra work that was not needed. I ended up talking them down from $200 to $60 and never felt good about the whole thing. Those guys knew the problem when they walked in and were hoping to walk out of there with $200 of my hard earned dollars to flip a breaker. Not happy with the dishonestly and will not be using this company ever again.

Response from Company:

The technician initially quoted the customer a diagnostic cost to further evaluate why his outlets were not working. When it was determined that the GFCI was tripped, the price was reduced and the customer only paid $59, the cost of a travel charge. We regret that the customer is upset over the price, but all prices were disclosed before any work had begun. We are a very established and reputable service provider in this market. We are very confident that we are honest and fair in all of our doings with our customers and we strive to provide a perfect service experience every time.

Electrician was personable and competent. He diagnosed and solved the light fixture problem. He also recommended and installed two expensive Surge Protectors in my two electrical panels. Since the panels are in series, I now question the value of the inline Surge Protector.
