Excellent job! The Black Diamond team led by Mike Gurtler of the San Ramon office did a beautiful and professional job on our landscape remodel. From the landscape design work by Kirby to the professional installation by Freddy and Jorge, we could not be more pleased with the finished job. We continue to get compliments from neighbors about how great the yards look. Black Diamond is highly recommended!

Michael Gurtler (Senior Project Designer) - Must use for all Landscape / Paving Needs Responsive, honest, professional, adaptable to our wants and needs - could not ask for a better Project Designer from design to execution. Our backyard landscape was hard to access and on a slope, Mike and his team delivered beyond expectations. When extenuating events occurred (e.g., discovering a massive trunk under the dirt, third-party delivery truck stalling in neighborhood street, etc.), Mike immediately took action and addressed the issues to ensure project remained within reasonable timelines and within agreed budget. Furthermore, when we decided to pivot from original project plan, Mike was very receptive and easy to work with. Will definitely use Mike for future landscaping and paving needs!

Jeremy and Mario at Black Diamond Pavers & Landscape did an amazing job on our turf and brick layout. Jeremy has a true designer’s eye and matched the new brick perfectly, while Mario’s crew worked quickly, cleanly, and with great attention to detail. The turf looks lush, the seams are flawless, and Jeremy’s plant knowledge tied the whole garden together beautifully. Highly recommend this team — our yard has never looked better!

We hired this company to install synthetic grass in our backyard. Our salesman and project manager was Michael and our head landscaper was Raymundo. The project was completed on-time and it looks great. Raymundo and his crew did an excellent job on the installation. Highly recommend this company and these individuals for any project you might have.

We hired Black Diamond for our backyard landscaping project (pavers, planter wall, trees, plants, fire pit, lighting, etc.) several years ago and it still looks amazing! Because we were so pleased, we recently hired them again for the front of our home. We wanted to replace an old concrete driveway, wide and replace an old brick walkway with new pavers and wanted a design for a planter feature, artificial turf, landscaping and low voltage lighting! From the first time we met the designer (Sahar), we knew we were in good hands. She was absolutely amazing from the beginning of the project to the final day. She came up with an incredible design that changed the front of my home to my dream home. She listened to every thing that we wanted and offered more because she is such an artist! We could not be happier and our neighbors keep stopping by complimenting our home.

Black Diamond did a phenomenal job on paving and landscaping at my house. They were professional and top notch from start to finish. I was also impressed at their attention to detail, and by how prompt they were about addressing any questions or concerns and constantly checking in with me to make sure that everything was going well. Jeremy (designer and project manager) was very collaborative and hands-on. He was very knowledgeable about plants and was able to turn my suggestions into a design that covered all of my goals. He was able to talk through the pros and cons of various choices and was very patient in explaining all the options. I was hoping for low maintenance drought-tolerant landscaping that would also attract hummingbirds, butterflies and pollinators -- and I've been thrilled to see them already enjoying the new plants. Jesus and his crew worked fast -- but also put special effort into taking care of little details I probably wouldn't even have noticed.

Choosing the right company/contractor is never an easy task. We recieved bids from several companies. Some bids were lower in price and some were higher. Ultimately we decided to move forward with Ron G. & company because of his vast knowledge, experience, & professionalism. Ron clearly communicated our options and didn't use high pressure sales tactics to hurry us into signing any contracts. We love our new driveway and can't wait for Phase 2 (Backyard) in January.
