What an amazing transformation of my flooring. Mike put his heart and soul into this job. It required a lot of sanding and then coating with polyurethane. During the process, Mike kept me in the loop as to what he was doing. In fact, he put down three different stains for me to decide which one I thought would look the best. I went with the natural look. I would highly recommend Best Choice flooring for all of your flooring needs. The finished product was amazing, from the color, coating, to the trim that he put down. Mike started the job and worked on the job until it was completed.
They did a great job . Filled in all cracks and the floor it looks amazing when finished! I d hire them again ! They cleaned up everything hardly any dust ! You may be taken back by 1 bad review on here but I would say I Did NOT find anything that would make me hesitate hiring them or recommending them to my friends and neighbors!!! Great job guys
Worst choice flooring: First, I would ask any potential customer to stay away from this guy. He installed hardwood on the 1st and 2nd floor of my house and overall I am satisfied when this is done by Christmas. There are few issues but he agrees to fix so I paid him per his request. He left the stairs unfinished. (The total cost is 20000, at this point, I have paid him 17500. The remaining 2,500 dollars should be due after the stairs are done according to our agreement). He explained to me that the treads and risers will be ready a few days later since the machine is down and it would take a few days to have it fixed. However, ever since that I have much difficulty in contacting him. He did not come back to take care of the flaws as he has promised. Text him, no reply; called him, no answer. Even if he eventually replied after I wait for half months, his good attitude went downhill by blaming me for everything I did: Texting him in the evening (between 8 pm to 10 pm) which he defines as inappropriate, keep asking him the same questions about the available date of the treads and risers. He is very rude and obviously tried to scare me away. Finally, when the treads are ready he asked to pay him 1695 dollars before he can come to put them to my stair. This is against our agreement. I told him I can pay him only after he finishes the whole project; however, he rejected and even threatened me by putting a mechanic lien on my house. As a customer, I never delayed my payment to him. I tried my best to be reasonable. There are some flaws in his work but I still paid him on time in hope for that he could treat me in fair as well. I need to work at my company so I can only ask him questions when I come back. I ask him project-related questions by texting usually between 7 and 10 pm but he blames me for disturbing his life by doing so. I asked him several times when he could get the treads and risers ready but he shout at me in a rude way, blaming me for asking him the same questions again. At the meantime, he refused to come back to fix any flaws in his work as he had promised before he is paid. He never wishes to help you proactively once you paid him before you are satisfied. He always emphasizes that he has been in this industry for 20 years but his ethics obviously is not proportional to his experience. Stay away from this shameless scammer, read the text messages between us (I upload them at yelp) and you judge who is right and who is wrong.
This is only the 3rd bad review since 99. You cannot make everyone happy no matter how hard you try. This customer picked a material because of price then complained about it the whole time. Calling me every evening after 9 pm. The price was 23k he talked it down to 20k. Better material would have been 30k. He didn't want to pay that. The floors were finished and I informed him the steps will take 3 weeks. I had to wait for them. He starts calling 3 days after we complete floor, with a threatening attitude about the steps taking 3 weeks. My step guy had an issue and his machines had to be fixed. So I had to wait. The customer was informed of all of this beforehand, but 3 days after the floors were done he begins to call complaining about anything he could because I couldn't get there for the stairs. So when the stairs finally came in i had to pay 1600.00 for them. I then told him he had to pay for the material up front, well this pissed him off even more so I gave him the option to pay for the material so I could drop it off to accumulate. He refused so I'm stuck with 1600.00 of steps that were made for his job. He also turned me into the fraud department Nd they investigated the case sent me an email this week and closed the case because we did nothing wrong. This is why I now have to respond to this frivolous review. There are 2 sides to every story and if I was so bad I would not be in business and would have more than 3 bad reviews. I'm all about taking care of my customers. This is my livelihood. I have worked with over 2500 customers and if we closed the doors today, 3 bad reviews is not bad. Also, for those that look at the text on another review aggregate site, there is plenty more he didn't show, there is also a lot of phone calls that he did not show.
Finished on time, on budget and made pricing clear with good results
Our last coat (3rd) of polyurethane went on today and we literally just spent 15 minutes walking around our house and admiring the absolute beautiful job that Best Choice did with our floors. Easily the best upgrade to our home we could have done. Other companies that quoted us said that they would not be able to get the bevels out of the pre treated boards installed in our house or get the color we wanted because of that. Best Choice Flooring not only was able to achieve that beautifully but at also a competitive price. Already recommending them to family and friends.
Hardwood floor installation Job was done in a prompt fashion. Reasonable pricing.
Mike had great ideas was easy to work with and I felt very reasonable in price. Would highly recommend him
