Basement Escape

Brian was prompt, knowledgable, and professional.

A temporary move to the basement during renovation work upstairs became a permanent mancave for my developmentally disabled adult son. The biggest benefit of this unanticipated development was that it practically eliminated the sleep disturbances that he regularly experienced. Away from the vagaries of temperature, light, and noise that attended his second floor, west-facing bedroom, he (and I) became able to sleep soundly. The only problem with this new arrangement was that the basement bedroom did not have an egress window. In addition to cost, worrying about how my son could handle the disruption of having to return to the upstairs bedroom during the installation of an egress window caused me to wonder if putting an egress window in his room was a realistic solution. Fortunately, a series of casual mentions of this predicament led me to Brian Stephenson and Basement Escape. Besides the cost of this job being very reasonable, it was accomplished in TWO DAYS! Thanks to the highly skilled workmanship and remarkable courtesy of the Basement Escape crew, my son’s access to the basement wasn’t disrupted for one minute and the single night that he spent on the couch and in his bed in the adjacent family room was blessedly restful. Having personally witnessed what the Basement Escape crew accomplished in two days, I find it less challenging to believe in what God accomplished in six.

I wasn't sure what we were going to need, whether it was for someone to come out and patch some holes in our window well or to get the well replaced entirely. I sent Basement Escape an email with a picture of the well asking for help. I was fully prepared for someone to email me back telling me the well needed to be replaced and provide an estimate, but instead, Brian told me that the issue was something we could easily fix ourselves and provided instructions on how to go about it. I sincerely appreciate the fact that Brian didn't take advantage of the situation just to squeeze a couple hundred bucks out of people who have no knowledge of window wells and that he took the time out of his day to help just for the sake of helping. I don't know many businesses with that level of honesty. Should we need anything window well related in the future, Basement Escape will DEFINITELY be getting our business!
