Write a ReviewDylan, Javier and O.J. did an outstanding job. Dylan performed the inspection and provided me a free estimate. I decided on the spot to sign a contract to repair my in-ground pool cool deck. Javier and O.J performed the work. Completed in one day. Can't say enough about these consummate professionals. Thank-you.
Fernando, his son Frankie, and Jeb Kraft (substituting for a vacationing crew member) were excellent. Their experience, work ethic, and attitude were outstanding. Every issue that arose as they repaired work another company did several years ago was solved by Fernando. He always provided several options and we selected the best one for the situation. Because Fernando hand-dug the needed holes and trenches he had no problem when he encountered the main electric line several feet from where 811 had marked it.
Thank you so much for your 5-star review, [Member Name Removed]! We truly believe our crews enjoy their craft and strive to provide the best possible service to our valued customers- like you!
In early August, 2023 I was going to have a french drain done, or a trench, to redirect the water flow around my driveway when it rains. A neighbor of mine had heard about Baird Foundation and recommended I give them a call. I called Baird about fixing my driveway which had tilted slightly from side to side over the years, the walkway to the front door, and also seven slabs around my pool that had moved. Upon the initial inspection on August 18, I told the Baird representative that I was thinking of having a french drain put in but the Baird representative was confident that Baird Foundation could fix the issues and gave me an estimate. I called him back a couple of days later and signed on. A couple of weeks later, as the crew was setting up to start, the lead technician said he "could lift the slab up, but could not push it down" (referring to the corner of the drive that had tilted up slightly. I told him if they can fix the problem with the drive that I was okay with that corner raised a bit and they started to work. When I returned from work that day, they were trying to jack up the corner of my garage and a third technician arrived and told them to stop. The driveway is not attached to the garage and I did not authorize Baird to do any work on the garage foundation. They finished later that afternoon and returned the next day to finish their work. When they finished, the lead technician told me he “could not fix the driveway”. If the technician had said they could not fix the drive, I would have told him to leave it, and just do the other areas of the job. It was later twice implied by the General Manager that I was lying about this. That was quite offensive. I inspected the other work they did and found that the slabs around the pool, and the walkway out front, were not adjusted properly. I told him I could not sign off on it until the work was done correctly. I later spoke with the Baird General Manager and sent her pictures of the errors in their work. Weeks later in mid-October, another one of their crews, including their field supervisor, came back and corrected the slab work around the pool and the walkway leading to the front door. On October 26th, the last day that their field supervisor was there, I asked him "if you knew you couldn't fix the driveway, why did you work on it in the first place?" He said “to stabilize it, to fill in any pockets or crevices.” He also said maybe I should try the french drain that I spoke about. In a phone call trying to come up with a resolution, Baird’s General Manager, asked me what I thought they should do. I told her that "Baird should remove the driveway portion from the bill." Two of their employees have already said “they knew they couldn't fix it." She then said that I was trying to cheat Baird out of money when in fact, that is what this company has done to me. While most of the employees were very polite and friendly, this management was highly unprofessional. The attached photos of my driveway (shot the last day the supervisor was at my house) are what they left me with. Based on my experience with this company, I would not recommend them to anyone.
Thank you for your detailed feedback, this review has been resolved since it was submitted.
Very professional. Answered all questions with no hesitation. Very detailed explanation of what services provided and process.
We are so glad to hear this! Thanks so much for trusting Baird Foundation Repair to inspect your home. Let us know if you need anything else at all.
Brittney was very friendly and professional. She took her time to explain everything. Never made me feel rushed or persuaded to do anything. Felt confident in choosing them.
Clara - thank you for your 5-star review and allowing Brittney to come out and inspect your home! We look forward to completing your project, if in the meantime you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office.
COURTNEY + MARCO came to level my pool deck, very good job and they were very informative. I will reccomend Baird to all my friends
Thank you for your positive review, Paul! We're so happy to hear all about the professionalism and hard work from our amazing Poly crew, Courtney and Marco!
Great experience with a very professional crew. The work of fixing my front sidewalk and driveway was completed quickly, on time, and looks great now! Thanks to Jackie and Ryan, who did the repair work. They were friendly, efficient, and quickly completed all the work needing to be done. They answered all my questions. I would go to Baird Foundation Repair without hesitation for any future foundation or concrete work, if the need develops. I'll be recommending Baird to all of my neighbors and friends. Oh, and the cost of the work being done actually came in a little under what I was expecting, which was a very nice surprise!
Thank you so much for your 5-star review and recognition of our amazing Poly crew, Jackie and Ryan! We truly believe our crews enjoy their craft and strive to provide the best possible service to our valued customers- like you!
Two neighbors mentioned them, & after reading the booklet they brought explaining how their procedure is superior to other options (going down to bedrock with galvanized steel pipes) I was sold. I was kept well informed as the project went along. I know they were careful when they dug & jack hammered.
Thank you for your feedback and 5-Star review. We're always glad to hear when are customers feel communicated with and taken care of. Please let us know if you need anything else! Thank you again for trusting Baird Foundation Repair with your home.
It was fine. It was what I requested
Thank you for your review and for trusting Baird Foundation Repair with your home.
My experience to date with Baird Foundation Repair First name initials used to keep it from being personal but Baird should be able to confirm. Almost 7 months ago now I met with Baird representative (Mr T). He measured the elevations of the home floor and perimeter distance of the house. He drew up a contract which included piers and polyfill as well as some floor board removal to put in 3 needed piers in the middle of the house. I agreed and paid deposit. The next day (Mr T) called and said he would like to meet with me again and review the contract. The next early morning he explained that they were no longer doing polypill under the whole house and wrote void on the contract. I was shocked but listened to his proposed new plan. They suggested putting pollifill on the perimeter of house from the inside. I pointed out to him that the whole flooring of the house was laminate wood and to drill frequently spaced holes for polyfill would destroy the value of the home. He appeared to not get my point. I was boiling inside that he would suggest such a destructive plan. Eventually we agreed they would make sure enough dirt on perimeter of the house was present at the completion of the job. On questioning he said they had a couple of months of work in front of me. I began getting worried after 2 months and no one contacted me. After 4 months I was finally contacted by Mr B who was based in San Antonio and said that I was close to getting my work started. After another long wait period of perhaps a month a Mr. KB contacted me letting me know he was taking over my home project. He informed me that Mr B was no longer with them nor was Mr T. Shortly after, an engineer came by to review the proposed plan. He did not agree with it and said he would get back to Baird with modifications needed. On discussing some inside floor board removal from the house that was proposed and breaking thru the slab for piers he pointed out that tunneling from the outside was an option and he would pass on my concern to Baird. After another 2 to 3 weeks the city of Corpus gave approved plan for project. About six months total Baird eventually showed up and began the project. Mr M the job forman met with me and I explained the poor communications and jerked around feeling I have been getting from the company. He apologized and said he would do his best to keep me in the loop on my project at all time. Unfortunately it has been raining for perhaps 2 weeks and further work has not progressed passed the initial 2 days. Mr M did call today (6/4/2021) letting me know that likely they will be coming out early next week barring any further rain. Later today I received a call from Ms A (office person) asking if I could call them to update them on the weather here in Corpus and they may get to me at the end of next week. After hearing how she wanted me to watch the weather for them and call them with updates was very disappointing. I explained that Mr M had earlier contacted me with a plan to be here early next week. I was planning on doing a review of them after the completion of the project but I feel obligated to inform the consumers of their business of how they function. I would hope that my experience would be unusual but I doubt it given the poor communications in the business and what I suspect is a high turnover rate of employees. Watching the crews that did the 2 days of work was very good and have no complaints with them. If you are considering getting foundation work done you may want to shop elsewhere as I suspect that the work culture of this company is poor. If you decide to use their business communicate options with the engineer that comes by as he is not a Baird employee. Updates may be needed to this in the near future. Today is 6/4/2021
Hi Mr. [Member Name Removed], we appreciate your detailed feedback. I'm glad I was able to speak with you this afternoon to better understand your experience and how we can properly address what has gone on and how to prevent it in the future. As mentioned, we have made changes to our organization to address some of the issues you have faced with the people you've dealt with and how things were handled. Regardless of the unforeseen changes with how the city handles permitting, your experience is not one that Baird likes to hear. This is not how we want to do business and we truly apologize. As we discussed, Mark is one of the best and we have no doubts that when him and his crew arrive next week you will be in good hands. We look forward to turning things around, gaining your trust, and restoring value to your home.
