Inspect, Analyze or Certify the Condition of a Roof

Warning to my neighbors and anyone considering Bachmann Roofing: Think twice before trusting them with your home. I hired them to install a critter guard to protect my solar system. Less than a year later, the system failed, critters got in, and I was left with a $1,200 repair bill for the damage to my panels. When I reached out to Bachmann, they completely refused to take responsibility for their failed installation. It?s one thing to have a product fail; it?s another to have such poor business ethics that you won't stand behind your work. If you value your home and your wallet, stay away from these people. There are plenty of reputable companies out there?Bachmann isn't one of them.

We recently reached out to Bachman for an estimate to either repair or replace our current roof. From the very beginning they were a pleasure to work with! We ended up going with the replacement as it just made more sense with the packages they offered. Joe was amazing going over everything with us and getting us set up. Gina was an absolute pleasure to work with and helped us get everything we needed for our insurance company. The crew worked diligently ro complete the joband cleaned up the mess beyond what I would have expected them to be able to(I was replacing a slate roof so extra messy) A big thank you to everyone at Bachmans! If you need roof repairs definitely go to Bachman! You will NOT be disappointed!

Evan and Gage were both great inspectors who found damage in the attic from our roof that was missed by previous contractors that gave us quotes. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. We are confident we signed with a good company.

2 things why they didn’t shingle all the way across the ridge and also not sure about the skylight how it works with the remote other than that they did great and cleaned up nicely, Thank you!

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
