Clear Land and Prepare Building Site

Remove a Tree Stump

We reached out for a quote and Ken responded immediately. He arrived the next day to look at the 5 stumps we were requesting to have removed. Ken was able to come soon after looking at our property and did an amazing job. He removed all 5 stumps, filled in any holes and our property looked amazing afterward. He was very professional and friendly. Would definitely use his services again if the need arises.

Grade or Reslope Grounds for Landscaping

We found this company through Angi for our pool pad digging and leveling for a diy above ground pool installation we are doing. Upon reaching out on Friday evening through the website (we weren?t expecting a response until Monday) Ken called immediately to try and get out to our home so he could provide an estimate. He was able to come out Sunday and we had our quote by Monday morning. He was also able to start the work really quickly. He started working a week after the quote and this was only because of a scheduling conflict on our end, with us getting a new deck the same week he gave the quote and us having an outdoor birthday party for our daughter that weekend on the dig site. Ken is honestly the most kind, hardworking professional we have ever hired for a project. You seriously don?t find people like him in today?s world. He was extremely fairly priced, honest, straightforward and overall just a really good human. Like me, he is a perfectionist and if he sees something he doesn?t like it is guaranteed he is going to fix it to his standards and you?ll never have to say a word about anything. He is extremely thorough in his work and truly exceeded our expectation's. We 1000% would recommend and if we ever need anything in the future he would be my first call. I wish there were more professionals in the world like Ken.

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
