Never used Angi before. After finding it by mistake and asking for a quote, Dan reached out with in 10 mins and came out within a day to provide a quote. Dan is very personable and knowledgeable. His crew was amazing, friendly, and respectful. Trust was established instantly. Watching the guys work, you can tell that they love what they do and take pride in it. Not to mention the teamwork. Not a single person stood idly by waiting for instructions. Very impressed with the climber and knowing exactly where to cut. Everything around the yard was virtually unscathed. Some of my neighbors have reached out about this team and I was proud to have offered a recommendation to Art-is-tree for their project.
We contacted Mike mid-January 2024 to remove limbs from the tree next door. Upon speaking to our neighbor (owner of the tree), they decided to remove the tree altogether. We offered to pay $800 plus an additional $200 to trim two other junk trees (also from their yard). I work my wife is retired (20 years US Navy and 23 years Human Services) and a cancer surthrivor (as she says). We are getting our back yard back in shape and preparing for the hurricane season. On the day of tree removal (February 6, 2024). She noticed the workers detaching and rolling our chain link fence back in order to make an easier path for transporting the tree parts to the shredder. No worries. Although they never asked us. She asked to speak to Mike about servicing 3 other trees on our property through one of the workers. A couple of hours later, Mike came to the door once they finished the magnolia tree. He stated he would not be able to trim the other 2 trees because the magnolia took longer than they expected. We asked about the cost for trimming our two holly trees and our maple in the back. He quoted us a price. Before leaving he stated he would not come to trim the others until we were ready to trim the two hollies or the maple because "we're not going to come out for just a $200 job." No problem, my wife was cool with that, so, I'm cool with it too. What I was not cool with I encountered later that day after I came home from work (I am an educator). Upon attempting to enter my back gate it seemed stuck! Upon further inspection it was crooked because the post was broken, there was a piece of the tree up against the fence caging on the outside and a brick on the inside. Additionally, one of the horizontal bars is bent. This was probably from the tag line handler. This was a huge old magnolia tree! I called Art-Is-Tree, initially I was told if I signed a contract waiver there was nothing they could do. I informed them their contract was with my neighbor. The second time I called they stated someone would be in our area next week. This was the week of February 12, 2024. They came out to put their advertisement sign on our neighbor's yard. Three weeks later they came and removed the sign from our neighbor's yard. I have called them a total of five times. We considered continuing to use them for our other trees. That is not happening. We just want our fence post fixed.
The promptness, professionalism, team work and clean up of Mike and his team was impressive. They cared for our yard as if it were their own. I would highly recommend Art-Is-Tree and will definitely use them again in the future.
The tree itself came down just fine. The problem was that the crew damaged my fence that was probably 30-40 feet away with the truck for no actual reason. They were not paying attention and broke my fence. This does not make any sense since my back yard is about a quarter acre and they had plenty of room to avoid this issue. All I got was a sorry and 25$ off a 1000$ job. Even though the fence is easy to fix it does not excuse negligence and damage to property. I will never work with them ever again.
Mike walked us through the entire process and their team did a very good job with getting rid of our old trees.
Whole crew worked together as a team. Clean up was excellent. Arborist took great pride in his work. Sad to see my old trees get cut back but these were definitely the right people for the job.
Excellent, fast, reliable service. Great work! Definitely will hire again!!
