You gotta love Isabel. A real artisan -- has a great eye, is careful and meticulous, absolutely knows how to restore wood. If you need to restore a museum piece, call her! But she's a better artisan than a contractor. Her crew isn't nearly as good as she is. She can be hit-or-miss returning calls. You might need to remind her to send you the final bill. If the job is straighforward and you just need a highly efficient contractor, you might do better elsewhere. But if the job could benefit from Isabel's artful sense, you get her personally, and you keep in mind that great artisans can be a bit disheveled, you'll love Isabel.

Isabel is a consummate professional. She was diligent from initial contact through the in-person estimate, and from beginning the job through follow-up. I utilized Isabel's firm to clean/restore a natural white oak table (she successfully removed all oil marks and deposits). She also provided a protectant to the table, taking much care in customizing the protectant to maintain the natural wood appearance. The table looks new and I am very happy with the work. I would add that Isabel really understands the chemistry behind furniture restoration, which sets her apart from competitors.
