We highly recommend Rob. With weather change and heavy rain, we were having water enter our chimney. When we first contacted Rob, he responded that same day to provide a temporary solution since a major rainstorm was forecast and we were already having a problem. Recently we've had him install a complete cap over the entire chimney top, protecting all of the chimney openings. The cap is functional and dresses up the roof of the house. Rob is highly professional and insured. He provides a contract price and stays at the price agreed on. He works safely and is respectful of your property and does excellent cleanup after the job.

Robert did a GREAT job on our very old chimney. We have a house from the early 1800's and, over time, the fireplace became unusable. He gave a reasonable quote and his work was excellent. Highly recommend!

Had Rob repair and build many things around our home in Lyman NH. Chimney repair was only one of many. Would I use him again, absolutely, if he came down to our new home, but I think we live to far away now.

He was very thorough job, my chimneys are in perfect working order. As well as my wood stoves. He went above and beyond to help me get them installed. Very accommodating to our needs. He also drafted plans for future projects that were thought out and very precise.

Showed pictures and explained what needed to be done. Gave a very reasonable quote. Fabricated an excellent chimney in a timely fashion and on budget. I would hire Rob again.

Repair of our chimney with addition of a new stainless-steel cap. work was performed as quoted and on time. we plan on using Apex for future projects. Would recommend their services to others.

I contracted Apex (Rob Ashman) to repair my chimney his scope of work he stated he would be removing the old tar based lead flashing which he didn't, he improperly flashed over what was there so it leaked, he also screwed down a section of the flashing without using any sealant which caused water to leak at the screw heads. I followed up with MR Ashman with a few emails he did call once, the emails I've sent have gone unanswered there was a window of opportunity to get up on the roof which I stated in each email yet he did not come back to look and address this issue. Another contractor has looked at this work and stated the flashing needs to be removed and redone, during his inspection he noted the concrete cap that was installed is cracked and some of the pointing was not correct. He tarred up the areas of improper flashing indicating this is like putting a band aid on a ice cube it will hold yet the flashing needs to be redone. I'd say to those reading this buyer beware, his work is sub par at best.
