Install Luxury Vinyl Flooring

I hired Andy to rip up carpet and install wood laminate flooring. He and his helper did a fantastic job! I am very pleased with everything they did. From the estimate to completion, they were courteous, respectful, professional, and worked in a timely manner to get the job done. This made working with them a pleasure. Andy listened to my suggestions and produced a floor that I am very pleased with. I would highly recommend them!

I hired Andy for a porch renovation, and I'm really pleased with the outcome. It looks great and they went above and beyond, even painting the pre-existing railing which I hadn't asked for The work was done quickly and efficiently, and the price was fair. Thank you!

I paid for a blower motor cost 480.00 that I didn&amp;#39;t need. The furnace had a bad sensor. If I knew that the blower motor was none refundable, I wouldn&amp;#39;t have him the money for the blower motor. He installed a new furnace. I call the repairman for my receipt for the blower motor 5 different times.He never produce the receipt. I call Chas Burch to ask the price for the same blower motor and it cost was 215.00 to 235.00 I would like to have my 480.00 return to me. Because of he would&amp;#39;ve checked for a bad sensor first , he would&amp;#39;ve needed the blower motor.

Response from Company:

Sharp construction didn't take any payment for its time to install the replacement of furnace motor. The furnace hasn't been serviced over 5 years, it was full of duct build up. I did order the motor and he was aware the Motor was a special order due to the age of the unit. The $480.00 was for shipping and cost of the unit. My labor and time was $450. After realizing the unit had a bigger problem, I decided to give Mr. Hunt a discount by not charging him to $450. I just charge him a flat rate to installed the New unit. I also took out the new motor from the old furnace and leave it behind with him.

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
