All American Deck & Porch

We had Scott and his crew build a 12x20 second story deck. The whole process was very quick which included getting the permit and then the actual deck build only took a few days. Communication was great and also Scott is very knowledgeable. They also came in with the lowest quote by far. The finished product exceeded expectations, looks great! Remember to always treat your workers well, some food and drinks are always appreciated. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely use again!

Scott and his team were fantastic during the build out of our 18x20 composite deck. Professionalism and down to earth is sometimes a hard combo to come by but these guys were able to talk shop and also hold casual conversation which was appreciated during their time spent at our home making the build experience relaxed and enjoyable . From start to finish they were on time, open and honest about the build and consulted with us along the way if there was a design decision to be made. We honestly couldnâ t be any happier with the finished product and will absolutely be looking to Scott and his team to finish our basement when weâ re ready for that. Highly recommend!!

Overall the employee that built the deck did a good job. The issue is with customer service and follow through. Scott came out in March and I signed the contract and I paid him half of the money as a deposit. Weeks went by and I reached out for a status for a start date. I heard back a week later that supplies would be delivered that day and it wasn?t. I reached out again and learned he changed suppliers and the supplies were delivered the following day. The deck was completed within a couple days by his worker that did the majority of the work and I was pleased with the result. I was told the inspector would be out the following day and there was nothing more for me to do. I never heard anymore from Scott and assumed everything was fine. Roughly 30 days later I find that a cheap handrail was poorly installed and bowed. I immediately reached out to Scott and asked about this and he said the inspector made him install it on June 8 which was the day I noticed it when family member walks down the stairs that day and it fell apart. It was just cheap PVC and poorly installed. He said that he would fix it and or remove it and replace the vinyl sleeves. I indicated that I wanted it removed. June 19 texted for update with no reply. June 27 he came out and removed the handrail and took it with him and I was told the supplier did not have the sleeves and they should be in a couple of days. July 5 checked in with no response. July 11 I called with no answer but sent a text that I would handle this on my own and to not bother with it anymore. Immediately he called me asked what the problem was. I told him lack of follow up and no response to my phone calls or texts. Again, happy with the deck itself. I am not happy with the cheap shoddy handrail or poor customer service.

Scott and his team just finished up our 16x20 deck and landing. We couldn’t be any happier with the finished product, great communication and so easy to work with. Will definitely call them with any other projects in the future!

My new deck is fantastic. All the guys who came were high quality craftsman who have a thorough knowledge of carpentry . The deck is a thing of beauty and a joy to have. The price was very reasonable and lower than two other estimates I received. If I need any other house repair I will certainly contact them again. George Cole

I initially gave this company a poor rating due to complaints. Yesterday, Scott and his employee started to improve the level of the deck. This effort was successful. My complaint regarding the flatness of the deck was resolved to my satisfaction. Subsequently, they cleaned up and ran a magnet blanket to pick up any remaining screws. Overall I would recommend as they corrected the issues.
