Install or Repair a Roof

ABSOLUTELY Top Notch service from start to finish! AURA was recommended via my sister who had an awesome experience with them and her new roof. They were extremely prompt and knowledgeable about my deteriorating 1920â s connected home in Hudson county and immediately told them this was going to be extremely difficult bc of a million parameters and obstacles I knew would occur from living here for 43 yrs. AURA HOME EXTERIORS offered high end quality products to enhance the function of my home and relieve the strain of improper drainage from old style construction. This was a massive project with the removal of a rubber roof, asbestos shingles and old Yankee gutter and replaced with a new TPO low pitch roof, new siding and newly guided gutters for optimal water flow. Living in an extremely busy area with no perimeter room around my house, AURA HOME EXTERIORS, had multiple solutions for many issues as far as, RAIN- it rained 3 inches day after the roof went on, protecting the delivered products/equipment, more RAIN and going way above and beyond to take care of the neighbors properties. Their cleanup crew would make anyoneâ s grandma very proud as everything from my property and 3 other neighbors were spotless! TRUST IN AURA HOME EXTERIORS with your next house project with confidence. This team of Matt, Joe and Alex are on point with expertise, skill and ability to make it happen for you. They make tough & hard work look easy! And as a bonus, it was all easy to finance and worry free at a cheap reasonable price!

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
