AAA Paving

They did a great job on a tricky driveway, with lots of angles and hills. It looks terrific. Only wish they’d given a little longer notice so we could alert the neighbors sooner about the driveway being blocked for the work. (Shared driveway)

They were very nice and timely, I had him install a new asphalt driveway last July, This spring the driveway is crumbling, I have been trying to get ahold of them to come look at it.

They did a fantastic job. Price was competitive. I didn't have to wait forever for a quote.

We contacted at least 4 local paving companies in Asheville, NC, and 2 NEVER returned our call. So then we started contacting companies outside NC. When we contacted AAA Paving, they promptly returned our call, Doug came to look at the site, and gave us a price. Not just a quote, but a price they said would be exactly what we would pay. Their price was considerably lower than the local pavers that did contact us. And the thickness of gravel and pavement was more than local companies. The initial appointment we made was rescheduled twice, which we were rather upset about because my husband had to use vacation time to take off from work for those appointments, and we ended up meeting on a Saturday when my husband doesn't work. After the contract was signed that Saturday, they were able to come to the site the next week, which we were ecstatic about. We thought it was going to be weeks before they could schedule the work. When they did come out, the employees came across as efficient, fast, and it was done in a couple days. They told us if they hadn't had to wait 2 hrs. for some gravel delivery, it would have been done in a day - we had 700' paved. This work was done September 24, 2019. This is October 2, 2019 and so far so good. Overall, the experience was a good one and we would use AAA Paving again.

Doug the project manager was honest and trustworthy. They repaved our private community road and did an excellent job. They also did additional paving for two owners all of which was very well done. We will use them again and strongly recommend them for any paving project. Shope Creek Estates Drive Community Update 06/29/20 the quality of the job started deteriorating after three months. We have been trying to get them to respond to their warranty since then and nothing has happened. Would like to give an update on our repairs. Albert Cornell did stand behind his work and returned to fix the issues with our pavement replacing some and sealing all that was done earlier. We are very grateful for the warranty work and the pavement in good repair.

The paving was satisfactory, but the company makes it very difficult to contact them and receive return calls. Message systems for cell phones do not record messages since the mail boxes are full. Email messages are returned as undeliverable. Date commitments were not met, requiring rescheduling and changing of our schedules. The foreman left the site at the end of the project without reviewing the results with us and left behind trash on the side of the driveway. Despite their multiple promises to address an issue they created with a neighbor, they did not. They have left a bad taste in the neighborhood.
