A-1 Sliding Doors

They are a scam. Very nice at first, then collected money and said they "would be back with all the remaining parts" but have not reached out or returned our calls to have them complete the job ...which we paid for. My error but they were aggressive and forceful in demanding payment. Please hire another company. I think their positive reviews are fake sadly.

A-1 returned ny message to have the sliding door repaired. Tal, the serviceman, arrived, took parts of the door apart leaving some parts in the back of the house. He fixed the door, left all his garbage on my patio. I pd him and as soon ashe left I noticed moulding in the back of the house. I called his cell and he said he was tok far to come back but promised he would return to complete his job. He left a full roll of screen and a drill bit. That was FIVE months ago. I have called, left messages and texted a minimum of 50 times. He ignores my texts and phone messages. Once he did respond to my call and said he would call me back immediately with an appt, nut that never happened. In addition, when he gave me my bill he said the amount would be double than what he wanted to show on the paper invoice. He wanted to pocket the balance and not share it with his boss. He wanted to pocket the other half.

Be very cautious with this company. Charged $825 to replace 2 rollers on a patio sliding door took 45 minutes which I begrudgingly paid. Noticed on my credit card bill they were charging $948. They asked if I tipped the technician. I said I was being robbed at $825 why would I tip anyone. They said they would credit my account in 3 to 5 business days. Will check to see and maybe stop payment. Be very leery when dealing with this company.

This company A-1 SLIDING DOORS was the fastest to reply. Their office is located in the same county where I needed emergency repair service. The other companies had offshore, out-of-the-country call takers. Nothing wrong with them, except they seemed to be nationwide dispatchers. They did not, or could not, deem my issue as an emergency. It was. The glass had fallen out of my 89 y/o Mother's door, and her home was wide open to the weather, and intruders. The best they all could do was say I would have to wait until the next day. At the least, they should offer an either-or and give the caller a choice between an emergency call-out, or, waiting until the next day for a tech. They did not, so they lost my business. A-1 SLIDING DOORS were the only ones that gave my call priority. They had a tech on my site within 4 hours. The way a company should respond to an emergency. WARNING, THEY ARE NOT CHEAP! Adam, the tech, was polite and professional. Excellent experience!
