"I own a multiunit building and in the last year I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had contractors not show up, give a quote and not return, overcharge, not complete the work, complete the work poorly, make excuses, waste time, or refuse to do business on the south side.....it’s been very stressful. So much so that I considered selling the property because it was so difficult to get the help I needed. I decided to keep trying and found HomeAdvisor. They recommended Aco/Daniel. We talked on Thursday evening and he said he could probably do Tuesday. I wanted to cry because I had just hired someone who didn’t complete the work but told my tenants he’d be back Saturday and his was like the 4th guy. So I really wanted someone to show up and get it done. Daniel said he could do Sunday if I really needed. I did. We agreed on a price and he said to let him know. I decided to go with him and we confirmed via text. I kind of expected him not to show based on the number of bad experiences I’d had. That’s how done I was. Sunday morning, he texted to let me know he was on the way. I arrived at the building and walked through unit by unit with him and Peter. They understood what I wanted and kept asking what else to be sure nothing was missed. They left to get materials. I left to get doorbells. When I came back they were almost done with a door on one floor. Then they moved to the next floor. It was then that I realized I had been holding my breath. This was working out! The work looked good. They were going the extra mile. They were professional. They were working hard and focused. They asked if I was happy with each item they completed before moving on. Even my picky tenant was happy with the work. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with these guys and their performance. This is the first time I’ve felt like I could rest because my tenant’s checklists were completed. Some have been waiting since August. The work is great. Their attitudes are great. I told Daniel that I’ve never been so happy to pay for something. I cannot wait to recommend them and they will be the first people I call in the future. Thank you guys so much."

"Michal is amazing! After 16 years in our home we finally got around to making some changes to our kitchen. Of course we decided to take on this venture a couple weeks before our annual St. Paddy's day party. To our delight the hand made tile we selected arrived 6 days before the party and we decided to try to get, what is now the centerpiece of our kitchen design, installed the same week. I'm not handy but I am a small business owner and selecting the right person to get this project done was going to need some luck. I needed to find someone that was available on short notice, could do the work and had a creative eye that could see what we were trying to pull off. I also needed to find someone I could trust to get it done and not end up with a job that wasn't complete when we had people over later that week. Enter Michal: When I went on HomeAdvisor and described the project Michal contacted me right away. The very next day he came onsite at the exact time he said he would arrive and sent me a proposal within an hour. Michal was exactly what we were looking for. He walked into the house on the agreed upon start date, said "hi" and jumped right into work. He took out the old backsplash with such efficiency I thought "man, maybe I could have done this". Our house was built in 1906 and who knew what we were going to find once the old tiles starting coming off. Phase II was a quick reminder I could NEVER do this myself. Large gaps in dry wall due to pipes was clear evidence whoever but up the existing backsplash did a pretty crappy job. Michal's skills are impressive but an added bonus is his calm demeanor. Once the tile came down and we saw what was behind it, Michal knew exactly how to patch the walls and create the perfect foundation that he could create on. The old tile was quickly disposed of, patches of drywall were installed and now the magic started! Michal is extremely fast but has a wonderfully creative eye. He's also a perfectionist. The construction part of the job went great, but you could see installing the tile was what Michal really enjoyed. The next day Michal did the grout and the project was complete. My wife and I were blown away. Our new kitchen design was in front of our face and we couldn't be happier. Best yet, we still had two more days until the party! As for Michal overall: 1. He is very prompt and works fast. 2. His prices are fair and will take the time to talk to you about the overall design you are going for. 3. His skills are excellent and would never shortcut anything. Doing it the right way is in his nature. 4. There is no question we are going to use him again as we start thinking about doing the bathrooms this summer. Highly recommend Michal Tiles and happy to be a reference for him for future projects."
