The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. We were constantly consulted on decisions related to material and design, and the Ion's craftsmanship is evident in the final product. We highly recommend I.C. "Father and son team with 2 other workers, father is mason with decades of experience. Their work on 2 walkways was spectacular. They used existing bluestones, put down a 3 inch concrete pad first, cemented bluestones in place, mortared joints. Then they lined the border with 4 inch wide stone (similar to cobblestones bitch cut flat). Truly an excellent job. I would hire them again, and strongly recommend them."

It took a couple a of days for the floor to dry, and a primer coating was applied, and then the last coating, I learned it is a Polymer.
