Comment: Allow me to provide an overview of our initiative here in Gorham. We are a non-profit organization named Good Helper Foundation. As we endeavored to establish our office, a ray of hope shone through, courtesy of the generous owners at 46 State St, Gorham ME 04038. Their offer extended beyond merely facilitating our office setup; they graciously allowed us the use of their 'Barn' for two years free of charge. Our aim was to convert this space into a Transitional Shelter– a three-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a laundry room, providing temporary shelter to three small families struggling to find adequate housing, totaling 10 to 14 individuals. The Good Helper Foundation and the owner committed to engaging a contractor for the renovation work. However, unfortunately, the work was halted as the contractor did not secure all the necessary permits from code enforcement. Therefore, we seek to resume the work with your expertise. We want to have a true estimation of what remains to be done. Thank you
