"I highly recommend Koritas Services. Caesar was prompt for his estimate and offered a very competitive bid. He and his crew showed up on time each day and did great work. They finished the project quickly and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. His crew is very skilled. The fence he built is very sturdy and constructed with screws and brackets - no nail guns."

"Connor was flexible in the timing of the estimate as well as the building of the fence. He demoed the old fence and installed a much better looking one. Connor adapted with the situation, including a fence wall for my neighbor. The quality and end product exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended."

"We were thrilled with NW Topnotch Painting & More's work on our recent house painting project. The quality of the finished product is outstanding – the paint job is flawless and looks even better than we imagined. They used top-notch materials and meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire process. But the exceptional service went beyond just the final product. NW Topnotch Painting & More offered excellent value, their pricing was fair and transparent. They were incredibly professional throughout the project, always courteous and respectful of our home. Communication was fantastic – they were responsive to any questions we had and kept us informed every step of the way. Additionally, they were punctual and always arrived on time, which made the entire process stress-free. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend NW Topnotch Painting & More to anyone looking for a top-notch house painting experience."

"Ann from home services plus, the Project manager, met us the first time and after 3 estimates we decided she the one we want to manage our project. We replaced 30 years old kitchen cabinets and counter with brand new. All the experience from a-z was amazing. Ann always answer to our questions, project done in 6 weeks like she promised (even we had delay with our materials). We are extremely happy with the new kitchen and get a lot of compliments from neighbours. Thank you Ann and Home services plus"

"Duke was great. Very eager to please with all my requests for my 105 ft cedar fence replacement. I wanted the posts 3 ft in the ground, extra wood that was lying around in my yard to be hauled away with my old fence and small details fixing my gate that was rubbing on the post. Duke was the lowest bid and they arrived earlier than planned the day of and had the job done in hours. I appreciate the customer service and would hire them again because of Duke. Thanks Alki Fence!"

"I enthusiastically recommend Outdoor Spaces Landscape and Design! We worked with Marino to build a fence for our backyard. It turned out beautifully. Marino was prompt, responsive, and knowledgeable. He brought great ideas and helped us make choices that matched our budget. Marino and his team worked hard to put the fence up, and did an outstanding job. We hope to be able to work with this company again for future landscaping projects because they are great."

Frequently asked questions

  • Budget: Your budget is central in influencing which fence you buy. Figure out your spending limit and determine your budget per linear foot, as fencing costs can quickly add up.
  • Durability: Consider strength, lifespan, resistance to pests, rot and fungus, rust, and the material’s ability to withstand local weather conditions.
  • Maintenance: Maintenance, cleaning and repairs should be simple and minimal.
  • Purpose: The style of fence you choose should be suitable for its intended purpose.
  • Installation: Find out what installation requirements, such as foundations or supports, are necessary. Research if DIY is possible or if professional installation is your only option.

  • Wood fence styles range from traditional to contemporary and from purely functional to attractive and decorative.
  • Lattice fences are affordable and decorative. You can use them as privacy fences by growing dense foliage over them.
  • Vertical board fences are the most common type of residential fence. There are budget-friendly options available as well as higher-end panels. Vertical board fences are affordable choices for basic privacy and security fences.
  • Picket fences conjure up cozy images of traditional properties with carefully tended lawns. They’re good for demarcating a property boundary but don’t provide much security.
  • Post-and-rail fences are a solid choice for making a boundary over a large area, as material use is minimal. However, they don’t provide any security or privacy.
  • Metal fences are generally stronger and more secure than other materials. You can choose from highly ornate and secure metalwork or simple but functional wire. For the higher-end options, which are often costly, homeowners often reduce costs per square foot by combining the metal with brick.
  • Aluminum fencing is an attractive, more affordable alternative to wrought iron. Although it has a similar appearance, it’s not as strong as wrought iron.
  • Steel fencing is a strong, long-lasting fencing option that’s good for creating a secure barrier around your home.
  • Vinyl fencing made from PVC comes in a range of styles, including those that mimic real wood.
  • Composite fencing is an amalgamation of wood fibers, pulp or sawdust and ground plastic particles that are bonded and held together by an acrylic resin. It looks and feels like real wood and is an environmentally friendly choice, as it usually contains a high percentage of recycled materials.
  • Wire fences are not made to enhance the aesthetics of your property, although some homeowners opt for black fencing to help boost aesthetics. They are inexpensive, purely functional products suitable for DIY or professional installation.
  • Barbed wire fencing isn’t common in residential settings. While it’s an inexpensive, fierce and intimidating security deterrent, it isn’t attractive and will not add value to your home.
