"Joe and his team were very professional. We had our entire condo remodelled and his team was a pleasure to deal with even though we were in Canada for the entire job. The owner Joe went beyond in aiding us through this difficult journey because we were unable to be there due to COVID restrictions. Some of the things he did were face timing us on a regular basis to make sure we were happy with the materials he used and picked up for us . A very trustworthy person. We highly recommend to anyone and especially Canadians who need work done who are unable to be present. Extremely happy customer Emma and Frank"

"The Handyman was just that, he knew what he was doing and took on a difficult project with a very short time line and not only completed it, but did a great job at a very reasonable price. He was polite and professional and really stepped up for me. I will be hiring him again shortly if l can get permission from my HOA!"

"Honest, reliable, fair pricing, fast response. Project took a bit longer than expected, but most of it was due to a change in design and choosing different vanity mirror and light fixtures which delayed finishing the project. Once it was finished, it was PERFECT, had several friends asking for MR. Acosta's business card."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
