"Jordan and the Arrow North team were fantastic from start to finish. They helped design and complete a full renovation on our daylight basement that included moving walls, new carpentry, new drywall, new trim and doors, floors, paint, counter, cabinets, really just about everything. The design process was smooth and bidding and pricing always seemed fair. We have worked with many contractors on residential and commercial projects, and this crew shows up on time, every day, when they say they will, which says a lot. The team is very talented as they did a lot of the work themselves and had minimal sub-contractors. They are meticulous in their work and really paid attention to detail. Jordan was always responsive to the questions that we had and his advice and recommendations were so helpful. He was very communicative about the process and gave updates regularly on what we could expect. Jordan is a great contractor, was a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend him to our friends/family for any project. We are so happy with our new basement and to have found Jordan and Arrow North Construction! - Bri + Ryan"

"We had an incredible experience with Sean and Gabby. We never had anyone sit with us and explain thoroughly the scope of work. Other companies were forcing us to sign but BZR did an amazing job by giving us time and listening to us. They were very patient since we changed our minds more than a couple of times. I strongly recommend them if you want a contractor to explain every detail and actually manage the job, they are your guys. Thanks Sean and Gabby."

"For a arge scale project company, CB Anderson has been very flexible and easy to work with, for a smaller project like ours. That's given our family a sense of security that our Des Moines Remodel is in good hands."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
