"We were flooded in Houston by Hurricane Harvey. Joel came to us via a recommendation from a local lumber yard who was familiar with multiple GCs (general contractors) and architects purchasing building materials. We decided to skip the line with a GC and ask around for a reliable framer to help our rebuild. BINGO! Got referred to Joel, and saved a ton of time and money. Very reasonable pricing and extremely good! We had our rebuild checked over by a civil engineer prior to drywall install, and the engineer commented on how structurally sound the framing repair work was, and how it was significantly better than the homes he viewed in the surrounding flood area. Out of like a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, Joel is probably like a 20! It is like finding a diamond at a thrift store!"

"For the past several years, my wife and I diligently saved to remodel our home, and after being taking advantage of by an untrustworthy electrician during the initial phase of our remodeling project, we were reluctant to proceed with renovations. I made many inquiries with friends and family about trustworthy contractor referrals. My wife and I interviewed five different contractors prior to contacting SMS Enterprises. We knew what we wanted aesthetically, but throughout the process of interviewing contractors, we questioned their ability to carry out our vision. HomeAdvisor was our last resort and prior to contacting SMS enterprises, we were on the verge of scrapping the entire project. My wife and I read the reviews on Home Advisor about SMS Enterprises and decided to contact the company. Ms. Skillern, the company's owner answered the phone and she immediately scheduled a time to meet with my wife and I to discuss our project. Ms. Skillern arrived at our home on time for the first meeting and every subsequent meeting thereafter. She understood my wifes vision for the home remodel and provided valuable feedback, as well as offered helpful suggestions when selecting materials for the renovation.After several meetings to discuss our renovation plan, we signed the contract. We wanted the project completed in four weeks so that we could be settled in our home for Thanksgiving. Ms. Skillern met the deadline nearly a week ahead of schedule and just in time for my wife and I to sort out the decorating of the interior of our home for arriving family and friends. Ms. Skillern and her team were a dream to work with. Communication with Ms. Skillern was easy, as she was always accessible. Additionally, Ms. Skillern's attention to detail along with her team of employees degree of professionalism is unmatched! We were able to realize our dream of renovating our home, and SMS Enterprises very much exceeded our expectations.
