"From the moment I put in a request for quote and Fleming Landscaping & Home Improvements, LLC answered my call immediately. I was already impressed. They were extremely professional and kept us abreast of everything from start to finish. We got a reasonable bid and they started the work on the day they said they would and did an exceptional job. My porch has not been that sturdy in many, many years and it is so solid now. My husband and I cannot stop looking at it. Anyone that is looking for a top notch contractor who keeps their word and gets the job done, you need NOT look any further than Fleming Landscaping & Home Improvements, LLC. We were so impressed with their work, we will be hiring them again! A pure pleasure to work with. Other contractors should take a page out of their book. This is how you treat customers!!!! A Chef Kiss!"

"JB Builders was efficient, professional, and very detail-oriented, as well as fairly priced. I needed a ceiling and wall repair in my 122 year old Victorian. The Master Builder they had leading the project and his team were polite, spoke to me (a woman) respectfully, and patiently answered every question. When the unexpected happened (e.g.: old soot in the walls) they handled it quickly and easily. Perfect experience, best contractors I've had, highly recommend. Pics are before, during and after."

"Zac is a very knowledgeable contractor. He gave us different options, with pros and cons and allowed us to decide. And he gave us a very fair price. His crew is amazing, good craftsmen and hard working. We could not be more happy with the end result. I would recommend this company to everyone."

"Fantastic work! I can't say enough good things about it from top to bottom. Tim repaired and retiled our master bathroom shower. Extremely efficient and knowledgeable. He made the tile we chose look even better than the displays in the store. And the work he did is of truly superior quality. Easily the most hard working contractor we've ever hired. And easily the best contractor we've ever hired with an amazing work ethic (and I had completely given up trusting contractors, but Tim changed my mind!) Tim is going to be the first person we call for all our other home improvement projects in the future."

Additions and Remodels
"We contracted Tim to build an 2 bedroom addition onto our 2 BR ranch home. We had him take care of everything except the painting and carpeting. This also included a new unfinished (but insulated) basement, and creating a new hallway through an existing room. An initial visit was done in October 2016, plans drawn up shortly after. A proposal was written up within a few weeks and agreed to. Excavation did not start until March 2017 (which is a perfectly acceptable weather delay due to Winter), and everything was more or less smooth sailing from there on out. Tim's part of the work was complete by May 21, so it was roughly about 2.5 months for the whole addition - which was comfortably ahead of schedule. He installed a ceiling fan and did some other minor electrical work for us. He was also able to install the hardie plank siding that we wanted around the front of the house for us as well. Tim was very professional and knew his way around the building code like no other. His subcontractors were courteous and professional as well. Everything ran like a well oiled machine. Tim was always available to answer any questions we had and kept us up to date on any developments throughout the entire project. We have made some photos of the progress available in a public facing photo album here - https://photos.app.goo.gl/goHF7STW8OCtVuS82 We highly recommend Tim and his company for any project that you are trying to complete!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
