"Mike, the manager, was extremely prompt and professional when he connected with me. He accurately timed when Tom and Justin would arrive at my house on very short notice to install 2 pendants in my living room and kitchen. These 2 guys were consummate professionals!! This company is now my go to place for all things electrical!!!"

"Job was to install EV charger in garage and rewire garage so garage doors and garage lights can be independently operated from inside the house and install several sockets in the house and garage. Honest, pleasant, capable, good problem solvers, competent electricians (passed county inspection for panel work and charger in a breeze. Added extra work at reasonable cost. Charged the market price for the charger (others tried to gouge, as if it was an unusual request). Hit my price target while others missed wildly (half of where the highest bid came). Otherwise, was competitive in the market. Responded to my specific requirements rather than vague "other work" category. Performed the tasks in a workmanlike manner and were pleasant and easy to work with. DC metro area is unusual in that a contractor can come from DC, Maryland or Virginia, so being confident of insurance, licensing, etc is important -"

"Mr. Chanthavong dug out a broken post lamp pole in my front yard and set the new one in a proper foundation in the garden, even making sure the lantern was at the right height for me to easily change the bulb. He worked carefully around landscape plantings and finished the whole job in under two hours, within just a few days of my initial call. I asked him about another electrical problem with a wall sconce that had stopped working, and he quickly found a tiny dried leaf inside that was blocking the connection. Thanks!"

"Our home was built in 1972 and most of the light fixtures are original to the mid-century design of our home. Things wear out and replacing gets expensive. We had a non-working light fixture in the master bath that in today's world is not up to code. The young man from Beacon who answered our call was very knowledgeable of the fixtures and was able to repair the non-working one with instructions to us that we must find replacements of a design upon which we can agree and that meets the code for use in a damp area, ie, bathroom. Beacon came to our rescue and we will be calling on them going forward. All employees with whom we spoke and especially the technician who came to our home were extremely polite and professional."

"My experience with David at Snell was great. I appreciated that he was able to fix my two systems so that I did not have to replace them. He kept me informed throughout the diagnostic and repair process. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to identify the problems and determine a good solution. I would definitely use Snell again."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesFalls Church Electricians are rated 0.0 out of 5 based on 0 reviews of 0 pros.
