The task was pretty straight forward and I would say I'm quite a bit handy, but seeing how the subfloor is concrete and I know nothing about carpet, I thought it wise to hire a pro. The work took an hour and he did a fantastic job...much better than I would've done (he did a couple important things that weren't covered in YouTube videos).
