Smart Energy Pros

We had an energy audit done by Kyle Farrell in mid-September, and due to an alleged broken phone, this audit was not fully completed until the end of October. We tried multiple times to reach out and get ahold of Kyle, but he does not respond to messages or answer his phone. When we finally got him to come finish the audit (we had to go through the main company's page to complain to get a response) he told me he trashed his phone playing golf, and that they were "really busy" with other jobs as an excuse. Mind you, this was over a month after the initial audit visit. He then promised us his "window guy" would reach out to start the process to give us a quote. It has been days and we have heard nothing. We were having the audit done to take advantage of tax credits, which expire this year. We lost a month to get the work done due to Kyle's poor time management skills & failure to respond, and we will likely miss out on the tax credit as the timeline is too short. Would not recommend.

Brian was extremely excellent from start to finish! He thoroughly explained all rebates and incentives which made the project extremely affordable. My attic insulation project was seamless! Excellent communication, friendliness, and amazing job cleaning up. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Smart Energy Pros!

I needed an energy audit and Smart Energy Pros came out, not only did the audit help me figure out where I was losing money, I ended up getting a really good rebate towards the work that covered a little bit more than half. I strongly recommend Smart Energy Pros!!

This company took meticulous time and effort to ensure that my home was not only properly insulated, but also comfortable for my family and I throughout the winter season. They also took the time to better inform me about my options in the future for my other renovations.

I wish I could post a good review because I was very excited and hopeful with Kyle's company.... Initially he came out immediately (on a weekend) to give us a quote before the end of 2024. The quote was excellent and would drastically reduce our energy use... Kyles team came out Jan 14th and did all the work EXCEPT insulating the siding on our house which is the main reason we are loosing heat. Their excuse was it was to cold because of the polar vortex which is understandable. Kyle advised that he would send someone out the following week to finish the work which I did not think would be a problem. The next 6 weeks Kyle ghosted us, refuses to respond to any of my numerous text messages asking about finishing the work that we already paid for. He gave excuses that he is to busy doing other houses and can't commit to finishing the work we paid for. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The Attic Fan was installed incorrectly as far as the electrical part of the install is concerned. Kyle's Team connect the Attic Fan wires directly into the bathroom outlet which can cause the wires to run hot. This will cause an electrical fire. Kyle came to my house to correct the issue but did not no how to fix it. He told me that he would get a turn off switch which will fix the issue. The did not come back. I text him, call and left messages but he refuse to respond to me. Yes, Kyle is very= nice but he do not know how to fix issues; he runs and hide. I even told him that the electrician said that he should have connected the Attic Fan to a Gang box and then connect the Gang Box to it's own outlet. But Kyle still refuse to fix the wrong that was done to my home. He doesn't care if my home burns down. From now on I will hire a seasoned professional to do work for me. I will make sure to tell my friends and post on Facebook about this company's practices .

Kyle was so amazing to work with! He was polite and professional and did really great work. Smart Energy Pros helped us to get rebates from BGE that covered a majority of the costs. We feel a noticeable difference in our home now after having our attics insulation issues fixed! Kyle even spotted multiple other issues regarding our kitchens vent emptying into our attic as opposed to outside of the home. He also installed a fan in our bathroom which has helped immensely with the steam from our showers. I can't wait to see the savings on our next energy bill, we've already noticed that our A.C. doesn't run nearly as much during the day. Smart Energy Pros does really amazing, thorough work! I would highly recommend them!
