Our project was originally to start on November 13th and take 3-4 weeks. Due to 4 days of rain and other projects he had to finish, it was started later than planned. On the second day, Jamie texted to say someone’s car broke down on the way to our house and they’d be late. Later in the afternoon, we were advised the vehicle was in the shop so the crew couldn’t come. (There were 4 vehicles here the day before so we weren’t sure why one in the shop took the whole crew out.) They resumed work the following week. He asked in the beginning if we had any particular concerns and we said yes, two. One, our grandchildren, 2 of whom are toddlers, are here often so care would need to be taken to keep nails and hazardous garbage picked up when they leave for the day. Two, they would need to keep the gate to the pool closed and either cover the pool or be careful in that area. Most days, we walked outside to find the gate left open and nails and pieces/slivers of wood, paint chips and other garbage littering the yard and deck. We went out one day after they left and realized they had been using the pool deck to cut the material for the facia, siding and trim. On these days, the pool was littered with sawdust. We were past Thanksgiving and heading into Christmas and no end in sight. The gutters had yet to be done weeks after the painting was finished. We were wondering if this job was more involved than this company typically handles or if a good project manager was needed. We had to remind him of the same things multiple times because nothing was written down. There is paint on the front porch rails, paint on the pool deck and on the outside of the screened porch. There’s overspray everywhere. We did have a walkthrough, and they did take care of the things we pointed out. At the same time, as the months have passed, we continue to find areas that need touch up. We will need to purchase paint and must touch things up ourselves. The biggest problem we had ended up being with the way the drip edge along the roof line was handled. Four months prior (in August) we had our roof replaced including new drip edge. We were assured that when replacing the facia that the drip edge would be fine. If there were spots that needed to be touched up, they would handle it. By the time the work was done, the drip edge was in bad condition with warps and bends to the point that we insisted it be replaced. At first, Encompass pushed back stating that the drip edge had been installed incorrectly. However, the the roof and drip edge were installed correctly by a professional roofer but damaged during the facia replacement. Encompass did consult with a roofer who told them that there should be no problem replacing the drip edge, so they proceeded to do so. Their work in replacing the original drip edge was better than they way they originally left it, but it was far from the condition it was after our roof was replaced. One of the reasons the drip edge was so important to us is that we just had bats removed from the attic and wanted to have the drip edge prevent that from happening again. In addition, after spending over $58,000 on our house, we weren’t happy with the finish of the drip edge. Since then, we’ve started getting estimates on what it would cost us to have the drip edge properly replaced. So far, we’ve received an estimate of $19,000 for the work. Because there is so much of it that has been damaged, it would cost more to cut and replace only the damaged parts and leave the few places that are not damaged than to replace all of it. We are also seeing wasps go under the drip edge, which was not happening prior to the work Encompass performed. After spending over $58,000 on the work, we are extremely unhappy to be looking at numbers this large to ultimately finish the work.

Jamie and his crew provided quality work! Jamie communicated well providing timely updates and letting us know if he saw something else that needed repair (without pressuring us to do the repair).

Response from Company:

Thank you very much, [Member Name Removed], for the great review!!! We really appreciate you!

My husband and I obtained three quotes for replacing the exterior of our house (siding, windows, gutters, and fascia) and decided to go with Encompass Contracting LLC. Jamie came out several times to talk to us and answer all our questions before we decided to go with him. Once the project was underway, Jaimie responded quickly and resolved any questions and concerns we had about the progress. When the work was complete, we were so pleased with finished project, that we hired Jamie to remodel our basement and finish our garage. We went with Jamie’s recommendations for remodeling the basement and it turned out better than we imagined. The garage also turned out great. Jamie and his team did an excellent job! All the positive reviews about Encompass Contracting LLC are accurate. We would highly recommend Encompass Contracting LLC for exterior and interior remodeling.

Response from Company:

Jamie and his crew were excellent. I would hire them again without reservation. Jamie was thorough, on site at least twice a day to review the project as it processed, and made thoughtful recommendations for how to manage our more complex list of tasks. He checked in with us regularly to be sure we were happy with the project and did not consider it done until we thoroughly walked through the finished project and were satisfied with everything. We have worked with other contractors in the past. Jamie and his crew were, without exception, the best team we have worked with. Again, no hesitation about rehiring him in the future for other work if it is needed.

Response from Company:

Thank you very much, [Member Name Removed], for your kind words. It was certainly a pleasure for us to work for you and [Member Name Removed].

Wonderful! The guys who did the work paid attention to detail and did exceptional work! I had my stringers and steps replaced, my deck repaired, and the house, front porch, and deck painted/stained. I am very pleased with the work that was done! The guys even painted my house numbers and downspouts; I wasn’t expecting that. Jamie is fantastic to work with. He returns calls and texts the same day! I will definitely hire Encompass again and have already referred them to several people.

Encompass Contracting LLC was excellent to work with. I submitted a request to Encompass Contracting and received a quick response from Jaime. With in the week, Jaime arrived to my home and submitted a quote for siding replacement and exterior painting. After receiving a few quotes, I decided to choose Encompass Contracting and it was the best decision. Jaime scheduled to have the building materials delivered and start date for the job. Encompass Contracting crew arrived promptly and began working. During the work I added a few more items for repair, new porch screens, utility building repair / paint and a detailed exterior painting. Jaime had no problem with accommodating my extra request. During the project Jaime was very hands on and had great communication with me. I look forward to my next home improvement and using Encompass Contracting.

Response from Company:

Thank you so much, [Member Name Removed]! It was a pleasure to work with you and Kevyn.

Excellent! Encompass is a fine company. Jamie and his crews are honest, hard-working, very knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Encompass is the first company to call for outdoor and indoor work.

My wife and I wanted to get some badly needed work done on our house that we've been putting off for a while. That included trim replacement in the form of of fascia and window trim. We also needed a ton of work on our back porch to get rid of wood rot that was in large part due to the roofing on our back porch. Also, the gutters needed cleaning out, sealing, and we needed gutter guards added to them. And last but not least, we had the house repainted externally. Jamie and his crew were fantastic. He was very easy to work with and talk to about the work that needed to be done from the start. I had a lot of ideas myself, and he was able to steer me in the right direction with what needed to be done. That might sound unimportant, but I could have spent a lot more money doing things that really didn't need to be done in his estimation. His reasoning was sound, and I appreciated that. That spoke integrity to me from the start. A big winner in my mind. So, I would recommend Jamie and his crew 100% on that alone. When I got the estimate, I was pleasantly surprised at the bottom line. I believe his cost to be very reasonable, which again speaks volumes to me about that man I'm dealing with. They had a lot of work scheduled ahead of us. Jamie was up front and in communication with me every step of the way, and he kept me in the loop on what was happening from the beginning. Even with the rain that we had in October which was supposed to push things back (as it does with an outside job), he ended up squeezing us in at least a week ahead of time. The work was just as consistent and excellent as everything else that we experienced. He used quality materials (which he suggested during our walk around). They were here at 9am and worked until 6pm or later everyday. The crew was friendly, respectful, and worked hard. No loafing here. Jamie was here everyday - sometimes more than once per day - and went over things as they were done to insure the quality of the work. He took care of a few things that came up along the way too either by discovery or by request. They didn't even break stride. He even took care of some drywall work we needed that was added at the last minute due to a squirrel invading our MB wall (which we had to cut open). It looks like nothing ever happened. Jamie even came back to due a couple of small things that I didn't notice until after the work was completed. Those things actually turned out to be nothing wrong at all. However, Jamie went ahead and took care of those few little items just to help out. No sweat - no arguments - he came out and took care of that himself. I would HIGHLY recommend Jamie and his crew at Encompass Contracting for any work that you need done to your house. If we need any additional work I'll be calling Jamie in a second. I've recommended Jamie to multiple folks. He is very personable and a man of integrity. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much for your hard work. My wife and I are so pleased, and we will definitely be able to get a good ROI on our investment with Jamie and Encompass Contracting!

Very well. Submitted a competitive quote, paid attention to detail and kept me informed on scheduling and progress. I am still waiting to seal the new wood , but am well satisfied so far.
