There were some initial hiccups getting our project scheduled, but overall I am very satisfied with the quality and professionalism of Bruno's crew. I would definitely hire them again. After signing the contract, there was a period where it was tough to schedule a firm date. This included several "soft" commitments on timeframe that were not met. To the credit of Bruno and his business, this was during a particularly snowy winter, where weather was big factor. However, once we eventually got an exact date set, it was a breeze. Bruno's crew is highly professional. They showed up on time, did outstanding quality work, got the job done faster than expected, and did it with remarkably little mess or disruption. I am seriously impressed. They even found a part of my porch that was unsafe (outside the scope of work) and fixed it at no extra charge. They clearly take pride in their work and it shows. Overall, I highly recommend Bastos and plan to hire them again.

Bruno’s crew replaced steps on our deck and porch. They replaced damaged cedar shingles and painted them. They also replaced our basement ceiling.

We are very pleased with the completeness and quality of the rebuild of our external stair case and closet. Bruno gave us the best advice and a fair price. Paulo and his colleague who did the work were hard working, careful, and very professional. As you can see from the photos, it is high quality and looks great. In the photos you can see how much rot there was, then the completed demo, then two pictures of the finished job. (They are coming back in the spring to paint it to match the house paint.)

UPDATE: Since Angi support can not find a way to change/remove the review, here is an update to the previous review. Bruno Bastos reappeared, as he says, from illness, and returned the $500 deposit in person. So, the rating here is for integrity, not for the work done. I took one star off because he previously made several notices of coming that pinned me in place and because he did not communicate his absence.

Bruno and his team were outstanding. Highly professional and did a great job in rebuilding the house entrance, replacing, and painting wood around the house. I am very pleased by the wonderful job they did, and I highly recommend them for any contracting job. Now, when I need a contractor, I know who to call!
