Needed the work done as soon as possible due to one of the trunks leaning towards the house. this trick was both rotted and cracked and was concerned for a large wind gust would bring it down on top of our house. Despite being fully booked Joe put us first and performed the work on easter holiday weekend. Fully appreciate the work he did and would recommend to others without hesitation.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Joe Candido of Avalon Tree Service to remove a 100 + foot tree on my property. It had needed to come down for quite some time and a recent wind burst had caused a large branch to come crashing down in my yard in the middle of the night. I received multiple quotes and they came in a wide variety of pricing and the methods that would be used to take down the tree. One thing that struck me about Joe was that he called me right back after I left him a voicemail and set a time to come look at the tree. Upon arrival he looked at the tree and took videos and pictures of it and said he would be back in touch soon to review the method he would use to take it down and what my cost would be. A few days later Joe called me back and we set a time to meet. Joe was very detailed on how he would tackle the job, when he could do it and how much it would cost. I was so impressed on how detailed he was and that his method (climbing the tree and cutting it down) would have the least amount of damage to my property. All the other companies I spoke with said they needed to get a bucket truck or a crane to do the job and that I should plan on having some serious damage to my lawn and the stone wall surrounding it. I decided to go with Avalon and I was not disappointed. Joe came early on a Saturday morning with his impressive array of chainsaws (small, medium and gigantic) and climbing tools. It took the entire day and piece by piece the tree came down until it was just a stump. I am very happy with the job that was done and the fact that everything was cleaned up and there was no damage to my lawn or my wall. I found Joe very knowledgeable and friendly and most of all responsive to my questions and concerns. In my opinion its very rare to find any contractor that returns your calls and does what they say they are going to do at the agreed upon price and that is why I would not hesitate to recommended Joe and Avalon Tree Service.

Each time Joe came out to the property, provided a very detailed & professional quote, asked many questions others did not, and looked for ways to provide us with additional cost-saving options. Not only were his quotes competitive but his work is excellent. He takes his time, making sure that both he and the job site is always safe (which makes a homeowner happy) and he truly cares about the appearance and longevity of the trees he's working on.
