Reviews
Write a ReviewHe came quick. Worked with my schedule and even after the job was done he answers and fixes any issues that popped up
Professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. Great work, would recommend highly. The price has a reasonable phase.
Good communication. Replaced ceiling and painted. Quality work, priced well. Would recommend.
Nice guy
This was a bathroom floor repair with excellent results.
Very professional, knowledgeable and excellent workmanship.
William and his team at Zon Construction have been consistently reliable and professional. Theyâ ve done multiple projects for me over the years, as Iâ ve owned more than one home. Their workmanship has always been stellar. They are neat, timely and take pride in their work. They have also been fair with pricing and stay within projected timelines. I would highly recommend William and his team for all aspects of remodeling and construction.
Great work
I hired Zon because of a flood in the master bedroom bathroom a month before I was scheduled to close on my house. The wooden floors needed to be sanded, stained, and polyurethaned. The room below needed about 10 sq ft replaced and painted to match the existing color. The master bedroom furniture needing to be taken out and brought to the curb. Bill assured me all would be no problem. After the work began, I went outside and the guys were throwing dresser drawers out of the windows onto the front lawn and bushes! The rest were carried down and dumped haphazardly all over the front of the house and porch. Showing no regard for my home and no pride in the job being done. It looked like an episode from the old TV show Sanford and Son. I asked Jeremy to please bring it to the street, He asked me if I wanted to HELP????? To my surprise, he dumped it all on the grass near the curb, once again showing a complete lack of understanding and pride not to mention ultimately making more work for himself and making the work site a total embarrassment. I began texting Bill and sending pictures and videos getting more upset by the hour. I just wanted them OUT and for someone to take charge. They were to sand, stain to match the existing color, and then polyurethane. Bill said it would require a couple of coats. The guys were finished by 3 pm seemed to me that they finished awfully quickly to do a proper job. After calling Bill again he said he was going to stop by to see what was going on. Bill walks in with Jeremy and they were both saying something like all is great are you happy? I said you just walked past that mess are YOU ok with that? I said clearly you are ok with it and thats the problem, you havent taught Jeremy the professional way to work in someones home or this would never happen. He proceeded to tell me this wasnt the first time hes had to speak to Jeremy about his work ethic. Honestly, thats not my problem. After Bill left I went outside to straighten out the mess that was left behind and it was too soon to check the floors as they hadnt dried. They had a number of flimsy plastic untied bags filled with sawdust that was blowing all over the lawn, in addition, I was picking up the remains of their lunch strewn about along with a number of plastic water bottles on the lawn and bushes! The next day I went to inspect the floors with BUMPS all over the upper level. Bill offered all kinds of poor excuses but the bottom line is they rushed the job didnt vacuum properly or didnt give the floors time to dry! He sends Jeremy back to fix it which he didnt it looked worse. Day 2 the Sheetrock debacle. They didnt use drop cloths to cover my floor, bed, furniture, bookcases tv, and computer! In addition, they didnt carry the paint to the end of the ceiling on all 4 sides. I was cleaning for 2 days not to mention the paint they sloppily got on my window shades. Who doesnt use drop cloths??? I was totally disappointed with Bills lack of getting the severity of the issue. I think a refund is in order since I spent 2 days cleaning and the ceiling isnt remedied and the floor has bumps throughout. I hired Bill because he has glowing reviews Who wrote them ????? Update 5/25/21 : Bills response is so not reality . It suits his narrative . I have pictures to back up everything I wrote.
We have been working Very Hard to pacify this Customer & not to address all the items here - the rooms were not emptied out prior & clear as requested & my flooring guys took time & removed & placed old furniture/garbage on the curb for garbage collection by others - even though this was not included in our contract. We were told by the homeowner that they were selling the house & the furniture in the house is garbage & to Quote: "kick it to the curb" Although the completed floor finish looked good, we re-sanded & did an additional coat & the homeowners realtor in addition to others have said it looks Great & I will post pictures showing the completed job. Jeremy is my Flooring Guy & he is the best at sanding, re-finishing & installing new wood floors, with the best current dust-free tools & have never had a complaint about his work & he is always available to go back & stand by his work as he did for this customer. The last room in which we were contracted to do the ceiling - again note that the room was also not cleared out & empty ready for work & we did not remove this furniture & place this on the curb because again it was not included in the contract & - we had to work around it & made completion very inconvenient. When it came time to bring in the painters to do the final finish & coats on the ceiling the homeowner did not make herself available on numerous occasions. When working in this business like many other businesses, we have to deal with many different kinds of people & Customers with many different kinds of personalities, most of the time things work out very well & on the rare occasion for some reason things do not always click - but we will always try to continue work it out till the end & in this case that is what we are attempting to do. I will be providing Progress Photos & a Final Invoice for the Customer. BillM @ ZoN Design & Construction.
Very professional.
