Owner repaired and restored the frame and backing of an oval-shaped curly maple antique mirror that presented multiple challenges. He explained in detail how he would solve each problem, keeping the project cost/efficient where possible, while using the most appropriate materials and techniques to preserve my irreplaceable family heirloom. Paul at White Owl Studio is extremely talented with all aspects of woodworking and staining any type of furniture you need updating or repairing. My outdated dining room table and eight Windsor chairs were re-stained and looked better than ever. I only have wonderful things to say about how professional and knowledgeable he is about his profession. He will keep you updated throughout the entire process. Paul loves what he does and is a total master at his craft. You will not be disappointed...highly recommend!!!

Paul at The White Owl Studio recently refinished our kitchen table, and we could not be happier with the look. He is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. He went above and beyond to get the right color finish including several sample applications for our review which entailed several trips to our home. In addition, he did the work very quickly. Paul took the time to discuss our project and offered education in types, care and options with wood. He analyzed the issues with our dining room table quickly and made suggestions on how to repair the problem. When faced with an unexpected situation, he found a solution that turned out beautifully. Paul solicited our thoughts and agreement and allowed us to be involved in all steps of the process. He communicated regularly and answered questions in a timely manner. Paul did an amazing job refinishing my motherâ s cedar chest that she acquired in the 1950â s and recently gave to me. Not only did he restain it, Paul also disassembled and rebuilt it making sure it was structurally sound, he added safety hinges, and made some other improvements, each time checking with me before moving forward on an improvement that was not originally discussed. He regularly updated me on the status and sent pictures of the progress. Paul made this family heirloom beautiful, safer, and more usable. Prior to hiring Paul to refinish the cedar chest, my daughter gave me a Cheese Cutter - Deluxe that Paul made. It is a beautiful piece that shows Paulâ s craftsmanship. Seeing this made me certain that Paul was the right person to work on the cedar chest. Great job Paul, thank you!
