Reviews
Write a ReviewThey are a great team and did their best to accommodate our needs and requests. Very pleased with their work and timeline.
Tori our team really enjoyed working with you on your project and helping you accomplish an open concept living area and a gorgeous and vastly improved layout for your master bed/bath suite. Cheers! Team VBC.
We hired them for a kitchen remodel that extended to dining, laundry & living rooms. It has been almost 2 months and the job is not finished yet. Subcontractors are all great but they also have other projects going on so thereâ s been a lot of wait time for them to get back & finish. Also wait time on some of the supplies we ordered. Overall quality is excellent. Highly recommend.
Has been a pleasure working with both of you on your project and change orders can impact scheduling timelines on projects beyond our control. We do thank you for your patience and choosing our company for your remodel project.
The young man that did the work at our home was very professional and clean.
Thank you for choosing us to help with your rental property Rebecca. Keep us in mind on your future property requirements.
We had a very good experience with Vision Built. Our remodel started just at the beginning of rising material costs, supply issues and hyper-extended wait times for permits. So the duration from start to finish was longer than both of us hoped for. But Martin and Vision Built stayed on task, pushed, pulled, scheduled and re-scheduled our remodel all the way through despite numerous slow-downs out of their control. They employ or contract out to top-of-the line craftsmen. They stay on task and communicate well. Everything was completed to our great satisfaction. We now have a beautiful kitchen, bath and living area. Thanks VB!
Thank you Bob for the opportunity to assist your family with your remodel project. Your excellent communication with our company made it an enjoyable experience for us as well allowed us to complete your project efficiently and effectively. Cheers to enjoying a beautifully upgraded home. Team VBC
Steer clear. Its obvious the bid process is meant to come in artificially low on cost and unrealistically quick on schedule in order to win new business. After the bid it was clear they did not understand the statement of work. Two line items they would not perform since it would cost them too much (even though it was clearly identified on the SOW, not something uncovered). I also caught them in a lie where they claimed an excessive lead time would not allow them to finish my flooring, then it changed to *product no longer offered*. Well come to find out it was pricing once again. Communication was terrible as I would get a call to schedule a particular step of work, when the work was already happening! Also if you call to find out status on your late project, they will get upset at you for bugging them, poor customer service. They had no idea an insulation inspection was needed, and I had to remind them, should not a GC know that? The folks they were subbing work out to even mentioned that they had seen this on other Vision Built projects they visited. You are better off doing the work yourself.
Adam, We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences/disappointments relating to your basement remodel. During these unprecedented times of the COVID pandemic, the difficulties to run a business have brought many challenges from dealing with local and government agencies, supply chains, sub contractors as well as employees and customers. Larger projects such as yours are extensive to manage as it is, but can become even more complicated with continuous wrenches thrown our direction. Add this, to the complications of having to work through all of the local and state COVID guidelines and still maintain code requirements within the district have been tough to say the least. We express equal frustrations on your job also, as we always strive to provide the best customer experience no matter what size of project. Team VBC
BEWARE! Beware of Martin Sakwi, Joshua Librande and Vision Built Construction!!! We have spent almost $300,000 with Vision Built Construction. They have lied consistently throughout the process, repeatedly made promises they did not keep, they tolerate poor craftsmanship, they demand payment before work is completed and they mismanaged the job from the very beginning. Every single contractor that worked for them complained about their management, organization, communication and professionalism and I know first hand that two of their subcontractors fired them from all jobs and told us they were no longer working for them. There were cost overruns due their mismanagement (not change orders) that we naively paid assuming good faith and now they are asking for final payment when work has not been completed and threatening legal action on us, a scare tactic to be sure. The value of the remaining work is far beyond the cost of the final payment. The work started on August 24th and they told us the work would be done by the end of November or 1st week of December. Then it was by Christmas, then it was by 1st or second week of January, then it was Feb, then it was March. Its now May and there is 10s of thousands of dollars of work still to be done. They lied and lied and lied the entire time we worked with them and its taken a toll on our family. We have three children who lived out of a travel trailer and then at my parents house for almost 7 months. Finally we told them we were moving in and they were going to have to work around us. We did not have a shower or door knobs, but we were so sick of being homeless and lied to we told them we were moving in. Now they have pulled this latest stunt. There were red flags that I stupidly ignored, little lies and unprofessionalism. Please do not make the same mistake we did. Also, upon closer inspection of their reviews they appear to be fraudulent. I know they have reviewed themselves to try and boost their scores so I imagine their actual scores are probably much lower. I also know that there are pending lawsuits against them right now. Also, their rote response about Covid 19 being unprecedented is complete and total rubbish. The delays have been because of their mismanagement and had nothing to do with Covid 19. Martin Sakwi and Josh Librande are the owners, are not honest and do not care about their customers. AVIOD AVOID AVOID. It is a sinking ship, do not go down with it.
During these unprecedented times of the COVID pandemic, the difficulties to run a business has brought many challenges from dealing with local and government agencies, supply chains, sub contractors as well as employees. Larger projects such as yours are extensive to manage as it is, but can become even more complicated with continuous change orders during a project such as yours and the delays we incurred mostly from the time it took to make up your mind for these changes. Add to this, the complications of having to work through all of the local and state COVID guidelines. We express equal frustrations on your job also, as we always strive to provide the best customer experience no matter what size of project. Your claims of unprofessionalism, dishonesty are completely false and we feel with all of our efforts to complete your project during such challenging times are unwarranted. We had many obstacles to contend with from material & labor shortages, continuous change orders, flooding of your basement by a contractor you hired directly. As a business owner, for you to call out other business owners publicly on a social media site is also equally unprofessional as to attempt to injure them and their employees livelihood. It was very unfortunate to hear that the recent windstorm knocked over a large tree that fell on your house and destroyed all that hard work we had completed on your house during this time. Team VBC.
The customer service was amazing . We had a kitchen remodel done. I so appreciated the communication and partnership. I would highly recommend this company!!
Pamela, it was a pleasure working with you and your families remodel project and we are so happy to have helped you obtain your dream kitchen. Team VBC
Communication is terrible, many mistakes and owners blaming each other. Electrical and plumbing had to be done twice, cost overruns, no oversight. months behind schedule and barely any work being done. No one shows up for days and days. Tia in the office is very efficient and kind. Worst experience I've had in the many renovation projects I've hired.

This past winter, my husband and I searched on HomeAdvisor for a reputable contractor to finish our basement. We came across Vision Built and were impressed by their great reviews. Thinking we were signing up with a professional company, we went ahead with the project. Big mistake. Most of the issues we encountered centered around communication. It was as if we were expected to be on call at the house in the event a contractor decided to show up - this lasted nearly six weeks. It would have been understandable if it had happened on occasion, but it was a recurring problem and got to be quite frustrating. I have no idea how long it would have taken for the work to be completed if we weren't retired and able to be home most of the time. *I will give kudos to Tia, the office manager. She did her best to keep us in the loop and answer our questions. We appreciated having someone in the company who seemed to care about the progress of our project. The owners didnâ t seem to value our time or care to listen to our concerns. It is my belief that Vision Built took on the job of finishing our basement when they already had several other jobs in the works. I would have had much more respect for the company if we had been told that they were just too swamped to even bid on our project when we first contacted them. It is my opinion that Vision Built accepted our job with the intent of putting our basement on the back burner. That is not what we signed up for.
Hello Jon and Peggy,I am Martin, one of the owner of Vision Built Construction. I would like to apologize for your recent less than satisfying experience with our company. I personally want to apologize to you due to the lack of communication from me and send my deepest apologies. We pride ourselves on our customer service and high ranking on Home Advisor and we strive to provide the highest quality standards towards our clients. If you would like to discuss further, please call our office at 888-702-7934 and ask for me personally. I would like to soon discuss what occurred and provide any feedback I can. Martin, Owner of Vision Built Construction.
Very professional and knowledgeable. All of the workers, from electrician, tile installers, cabinet installers to floor installers were very friendly and answered our questions. Martin and Tia stayed in touch with us letting us know who and when workers would be at our home. Would use them again for any remodeling we want done
Thank you Loretta! You have been a pleasure to work with! Thank you so much for the great review! Stay healthy!
