Initially we thought we had made a good choice in hiring David Vaughn to build a porch cover over our back patio. He was friendly, seemed knowledgeable. The project ended up taking about 6 months to complete which was longer than we were told. But because this was not in our living space we were flexible and allowing them to work on and off. Sometimes they wouldn't work for a week or two at a time. There were some issues with how well things were done through the project but David was responsive and would correct the problems. However after they were finished we realized that they left a section of the roof without underlayment or drip edge. David came back to see the problem and assured us that he would get it done correctly. But since then he has not honored his promise, has blocked our phone calls, when we called from our son's phone which he answered immediately, he assured us again that he would take care of the problem. And we haven't heard from him again. So I cannot recommend

David really cares that he does a good job and pleases the client. He has great ideas and suggestions and goes the extra mile to please. Great communication which is key. Would call or text whenever he would not be there for material issues or rain delay. Can't recommend him enough.

David is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Craftsmanship is outstanding and strong attention to detail. David and his team wrrr flexible with last minute changes. Everyone was respectful & responsive. I would definitely recommend his company.

We were extremely pleased with the end product of a beautiful deck addition, including two sets of steps and a bench, provided by David Vaughn and his workers. David helped us formulate the design, answering our many questions and making suggestions to get the most for our budget. He was concerned throughout the project that we were getting exactly what we anticipated and we did! This deck addition was a long-time dream of ours and the final product was beyond our greatest expectations. David's care to every detail and quality of craftsmanship is noted throughout the project. David was dependable and always showed up to work on the project when he said that he would and cleaned up the project area. David and his workers were pleasant to be around. Since hiring David, we have heard directly from several others that know David and highly recommended him concerning his quality of carpentry skills. Again, we could not be more pleased with the total project and feel that our money was well spent! We anticipate that we will enjoy the benefits of this deck addition for many years to come.
