David and his team are just great. Professional, nice, real people who do exactly what they say they are going to do. From start to finish, they were very easy to communicate with, and David was always available to answer questions and keep me in the loop about progress.

Background: For the past several years, any time it rained, water would gush from slightly-sloped land adjacent to my garage, through the bottom of the garage side door, and into the garage itself. I called David (Valley Excavating) on an incredibly rainy afternoon in September, 2025. I explained my problem over the phone. He paid a visit that same afternoon. Within a week, David and crew excavated, installed a system of underground pipes, created avenues for water to flow through the pipes, and positioned the system to guarantee that water accepted into the system flowed downward and away from the problem areas. Plenty of wet weather has taken place since Valley Excavating completed the project. With each bad-weather event since then, my garage and side areas have remained dry. (Knock wood!) Cost was reasonable, especially considering that this had been a thorn in my side for way too long but finally had been resolved.

Last year we had Valley Excavating put in a concrete sidewalk in our front yard. They did a great job and it has held up beautifully! We get many positive comments from neighbors. This year we are adding an addition and hired them to excavate for and pour the foundation. They came promptly at the time we agreed, did an excellent job, respected us and our property, and cleaned up nicely when they were finished. I would highly recommend them!

David and his team were professional, hardworking and knew exactly what they were doing to get the job done with precision. David went out of his way to try to save us money on a replacement waterline installation and curb stop (water shutoff valve near street) repair at our home. He also recommended a very good plumber to complete the interior plumbing connection. He explained the steps to complete the job and was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. He gave us peace of mind. He and his team worked sun up to sundown in below freezing temperatures the day of installation to ensure we had running water before they left. David & his team at Valley Excavating are great! We sought bids to demolish an in-ground pool and plant grass over the area. David promptly returned my initial call/text and came a few days later to assess the project. He had the relevant experience and understood quickly what we wanted done. His follow-up via emails addressed all of our many questions. As the requested start date approached, communication of updates through calls/texts worked smoothly. I had an old sidewalk from driveway to front door removed, and a beautiful new one put in. The team was very efficient and the quality fantastic--consummate professionals! Phone calls returned promptly, clean up careful, everyone so pleasant and wonderful to deal with. I am very pleased!! A++++++ to Valley Excavating! First of all Dave, the owner, calls you back. They showed up, gave me an estimate, and called me a few days later asking if I wanted to do it tomorrow? YES!! They installed a drain system in front of my garage door, resolving an ice accumulation problem I had been experiencing. Paul, the project manager, did the estimate and directed the work crew. Direct, to the point, no BS. I very much enjoyed dealing with him. The quality of their cut into my driveway told me they knew what they were doing. The installation and finishing work (replacement of asphalt) was done professionally. I highly recommend Valley Excavating for your project!
