TruBlue of Northwest Mississippi is a locally owned, family-run home services company serving DeSoto and Tate Counties. We help busy families and aging adults care for the homes they love. Our owner is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders, and also maintains a Senior Home Safety Services Certification. We are trained to modify homes for accessibility, safety, and long-term comfort. Fall prevention is our #1 priority! Services include: Handyman repairs and to-do list projects Interior and exterior painting Preventative home maintenance plans Seasonal work (gutters, weatherproofing, and more) Senior home modifications and aging-in-place upgrades Drywall, carpentry, and minor repairs Every TruPro® Technician is background-checked, bonded, and insured. Replced multiple household appliances...propane range, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer, water heater, etc. Also repairs of same such as replacement of dryer belt, pilot on propane oven, etc.

Daniel was very diligent about discovering how to repair my leak. It turns out that a former repair job (by another person) had not been done in the correct way. Daniel showed me what needed to be replaced and explained why. He made sure I understood what expenses would be involved and that I would be ok with that. Once we had agreed on that, he began the repair job. It looked great when he was done. It also works perfectly. I would hire him again for any future repair jobs. He was (and still is) very honest and hardworking. He wanted to make sure the job was done right and to that I was satisfied with it. Such a positive experience!!

I was very pleased with the jobs this contractor did for us! He reworked a bottom cabinet and installed our first dishwasher. He scraped our garage ceiling, repaired trim on a door and repaired damaged Sheetrock on the walls before painting the whole garage. He was very informative before and during the work. Also he was very professional and yet friendly!! He will be the one we call first on our home projects!!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
