I want to rate this company higher than 5 stars! The painting and carpentry work was expertly and enthusiastically done. To my friends, I described the painter as a painter/artist I am beyond pleased with the work performed by Toro Carpentry LLC. I was immediately impressed with The the owner, Jaime Arriga. Repair Carpentry Framing

I recently moved to a condo. My closet doors kept getting stuck and needed work. My condo building maintenance team looked at the closets and told me the only way to solve the problem was to replace the closet doors. I did not know what to do. I located TORO CARPENTRY LLC on the BBB website. TORO CARPENTRY LLC - Jaime looked at the closet problem and found a solution without replacing the closet doors. Framed my house and walls are crooked , slanted and not plumb. Agreed to a settlement to reimburse me for damages and then ghosted me. I had to $15,000 - $20,000 to fix all of his mistakes.

Toro Carpentry did a wonderful job. Hymie and his crew explained their process and understood what my goals were for this project. When I needed additional work that was outside the original project, his price was very reasonable. If you want a company you can trust, Toro is it. I would recommend them to all that ask.

Jaimie and his crew did a great job on replacing all my deck boards and building a privacy wall. They were here on time every day and were very accommodating and meticulous and seemed to take pride in their work. Communicated very well. I would definitely recommend them for any project.

They added a dormer to my house and did a great job. Framed, sided, roofed, and added gutters. They cleaned up everyday, laid down floor protections, and showed up everyday they were supposed to. I would definitely use them again

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
