Write a ReviewI hired Robert to build a 12 x 16 shed in my backyard, I gave him a 4,500.00 deposit on March 11th. The building was scheduled to be started the following Monday. Nothing has been done! After several delays I received a call from Robert saying that he had defaulted on a business loan and his assets have been frozen. I ask that he keep me informed but he has not. I also told him that to help him out, I would buy the materials and he could put the building up. He has not responded to that either.
Hired Robert to repair deck destroyed in Hurricane Helene. Gave him a deposit of $5000 based on referral from Angi. Found out he does NOT have any licenses so we requested a refund. No work has been done, and no materials purchased. He said that the money was used over Christmas, and asked us to give him time to try and get licensed to do our work. We declined. He has not responded to many requests for a refund other than to say he no longer has the $5000. BBB rates him F, and we have since uncovered multiple situations similar to ours.
I do have a license that I work under in the process of adding it to my company. It took 9 days for my bank to clear your deposit so yes cash flow was short waiting and a deposit was for plans and permits that have to be purchased before job can start. I have done no work for you so there for license is not needed yet. Refund will be given just not I. One day as requested. The only customer I have ever had back out a week after paying deposit before work even starts.
This was NOT a satisfactory exp. Would not hire. Hired for handyman thru Angi: Install lighting fixtures, faucets, leak in toilet assembly (though was flushing), installing outdoor lites, rescreening patio, seal leak in patio roof, garage repair. Day one no show. Day 2, staff arrived without supplies or incorrect supplies & spent 1/2 day at Home Depot. Not completed per our contract: garage was rendered 100% inoperable by an attempt to repair a smaller problem (bolts dislodged from main track from testing & left unrepaired). Porch leak not repaired left with a bigger leak. 2 blown electrical outlets. Faucet installed with hot & cold reversed. fans & lites not wired properly leaving dead outlets/switches. Toilet unflushable. Screws, bolts, wires, stuck all over. After firing I attempted to resolve with the owner on my own b/c I had to hire replacement contractor(s) I then filed complaint with Angi. PLEASE BEWARE ANGI AND HOME ADVISOR surpress reviews. Buyer be ware.
We hired this company to rebuild a deck, but our experience was deeply frustrating and disappointing. After initial delays due to weather, the project was plagued by continuous setbacks, lack of communication, and poor workmanship. Key issues included: - Repeated delays, with no clear timeline for when work would start or progress. - The company frequently failed to show up on scheduled dates, and when work did begin, it was incomplete and poorly done (e.g., framing without concrete posts, missing materials). - Requests for updates went unanswered, and when we finally demanded a refund for an order that never arrived, we were left waiting with no resolution. -Deposit was given in mid July and by November the project was still not completed. After much follow-up, we had to escalate the matter and contact our credit card company for a refund. When we hired a new contractor, they discovered serious issues with the framing, requiring the entire structure to be redone. In the end, we were left dissatisfied by the overall experience and would not recommend this company.
My mother hired them for a fence and has paid them $6,000. That is a ridiculous amount of money for him to expect up front and, 3 months later, the work is not done. We have been pursuing the man to either complete the work or refund my mother and it has been nothing but excuses, broken promises, and issues that fall outside of what even his own contract allows. Our advice would be to stay away from this company. From what I can tell, they are a new company that does not have the experience or staff capable of providing good service and workmanship. As far as I am concerned, he has taken advantage of my elderly mother.
Tide Remodeling and Handyman Services were a great company to hire for my fence installation. They were professional, installed the fence in a timely manner. I am very pleased with the finished project. I highly recommend hiring this company for all your household repairs.
Robert has very good customer service and went out of his way to get the job done at a reasonable time frame. Floors look wonderful!
