Reviews
Write a ReviewI spoke with Kristina she was wonderful.
Kristina made my entire experience so easy! She was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would send all of my friends and family to her if they were looking to purchase a sun room.
Fantastic response and product. The entire LBL team goes above and beyond in terms of response, knowledge , and quality of product. Highly recommend!
Cant speak highly enough about Pat Semman and Luxury Backyard Living products. Several years ago we worked with Pat to have a sunroom installed. Very happy with the sunroom. Off the sunroom we had another contractor install a composite deck. While the deck is beautiful, it gets very hot in the summer. We contacted Pat Semman to find out if he had any ideas for a solution. Pat personally came out and checked out our situation. He offered several options. He met us at the showroom to demonstrate all the options. Pat spent a lot of time with us and gave us the pros and cons for the different options( he is a wealth of information). Ultimately we decided on a patio cover with tinted skylights. It was just installed this fall, so I will come back next summer for an updated review. So far its beautiful and neighbors are complimenting its luxury appearance. If I could give Pat ten stars for his customer service, I would!
Fast delivery. Very efficient. Thank you Michelle C.
They did great work when they were working but had to push them and follow up constantly. They did not communicate well with me about delays in the various steps of the project or changes with the planned work schedule.
Took over a year to get it done. Very poor communication. Illogical placement of concrete pad. Not worth the cost.
The salesperson Eli was very honest and up front and made us very comfortable with pursuing this project. The subcontractors were awesome. Joe with ProCement had a great crew poured a 16x16 slab with footings. The carpenter Tony was the best ever and was very methodical and particular about every aspect of his work. He wanted to make sure I was happy with every aspect of the sunroom as it was being built. The electrician Denny was very fast and did great work, but it took at least a month to get the final inspection. Communication with the TEMO construction contact was horrid and resulted in that individual leaving the company. Jim Hall stepped in and finally made sure the job was completed. Jim also was very dedicated at the beginning when a significant redesign was necessary. While the final product is beautiful, TEMO needs to ensure better communication/interaction between the sales person and the construction staff. We were originally told the project was supposed to be done by mid-May. In actuality, construction didn't start till May 9 and wasn't finalled out until September.
I feel that Temo has not been accountable to the mistakes that were made. They tried to come up with a solution that was best for them and not for us. When we said no to that, they had nothing else to offer.
This comment is not truthful and very one-sided. After submitting all our documents and photos to ANGI/Home Advisor, they did a site with us that we did everything possible to work with this customer and he was unwilling. The complaint was closed in our favor. We have been trying to work with this customer for months and he has been very unreasonable. To Backyard Living entered into a contract with Mr. Morelli on 9/28/20 to construct a 13 x 22x 10 bronze, free-standing operable pergola. The customer? concern at this point in the project is an aesthetic issue with the piers and brick pavers, however, the job was just in Phase 1 of construction. There are two methods to sink a pier. The first is to core drill and the second is to remove the pavers and dig the piers. It was decided not to remove the brick pavers and to core drill piers. The vibration of the core drilling will cause the pavers to pull apart, HOWEVER, once the job is in the final stages of completion, per the contract 6? columns and 10? shoes would be placed at the base over the piers and the stone pavers would have been put back and grouted accordingly. The piers were poured and a post hole inspection was done on 11-17-20 and approved by the Brandon Charter Township Building Department. Mr. Morelli put the job on hold in Nov 2020, April 2021, and May 2021. Mr. Morelli informed us he wanted a brand new brick paver patio, however, the color of his pavers was discontinued, so we offered to build, at NO CHARGE, beautiful brick columns at the base. The cost of these brick columns is $1000 each. Mr. Morelli declined this option and insisted on a paver patio built - even though his brick is discontinued and did not want to pick another option AND he wanted a lifetime warranty on the pavers, which we can not offer. Again, this part of the job is Phase 1 of the project. On 7/28, the owner and sales manager met with Mr. & Mrs. Morelli to discuss options of resolution. When they arrived at the home, Mr. Morelli did not want to come out of the home and just motione123746755 to go to the backyard - which we did to assess the pier holes. After waiting for quite a while for Mr. & Mrs. Morelli to come outside, they finally did. Mr. Morelli was very rude, angry, and unreasonable and hardly wanted to give us the opportunity to speak. While we were discussing options, he abruptly left the meeting, told us to leave the property and demanded his money back, and walked into the house. At that point, we were left to remedy the job with Mrs. Morelli. Mrs. Morelli was told we had $4500 into the job at this point, i.e. building permit fee, administration fees, property survey cost, piers, and steel interest, but agreed to cancel the job and refund their $6000 deposit in full. The refund was processed on 7/29/21 back to their AMEX card. Mrs. Morelli signed off on the cancellation agreement of the job, which stated they did NOT want further work done and to leave the PATIO AS IS. The job is canceled and no further work will be done, per the cxl agreement they signed. Temo, Inc. has been in business for over 55 years and has always stood behind our products and services 100% and will continue to do so.
Thank you TEMO, employees and contractors, with special thanks to Angie and Race for a job well done. We are super happy with our new 3 seasons room. It's a dream come true and then some.
