If you are looking for quality workmanship, experience, someone highly knowledgeable with an unusually broad skill set that will work hard, pay attention to details and make sure the job is done right, call Jack at Strong Builders. If on the other hand you want poor workmanship, poor quality, workers with a bad attitude and a lack of experience, look elsewhere. We had a number of projects ranging from putting in dropped ceilings, a new doorway, insulating and putting up sheetrock on walls, and replacing large areas of ceilings that had been ripped out during mold and water damage remediation, and more. One of the things that most impressed us was his ability to not only grasp what we wanted done, but to have a better grasp of it than we did. He repaired formerly shoddy work to bring everything up to code. In every way, he, and the results, exceeded our expectations. After discussing what we wanted we received a detailed, itemized quote, stating everything he would be doing and the specific materials he would be using, right down to how many coats of spackle would be used and sanded. We have had numerous quotes for work before, but none this well detailed. We knew how much sheet rock, paint, molding, how many ceiling tiles and even how much time he would need for prep before we signed a contract. Pros: • Excellent work ethic • Reliable, returned phone calls, always let us know when he would be working and if something came up and he had to change plans we were always kept informed. • Trustworthy, I was very comfortable having him work in my home even when no one was home. • Left all work areas clean and tidy. • Respectful, if we made a request he never questioned it. As an example, we have several dogs, one of which is a recent rescue and is still very much a flight risk. Jack was aware of this and went to great lengths to not frighten her and to make sure that she did not have a chance to get loose. • Above all, quality work and an excellent eye for detail. We had no idea that what we were asking for would look so amazing! Cons: • None that I am aware of Would we hire Strong Builders again? Definitely, and we are looking forward to doing so again.

I changed the garage to living space (kitchen, full bathroom, dinning room) and Jack did super excellent job .... everything was done as planned on time and with exact price that was estimated. Jack does the pricing so precise and all his pricing are very well within the normal range and nothing is over priced at all. Timing, is also planned correctly and and takes everything in consideration ... and he does not leave the work site until he finish the work that is scheduled to be done for that day. Jack does the job as it is for himself ..... no one can ask for better performance.

We decided to renovate one of our bathrooms that was in desperate need of an update. We engaged with several contractors to get an idea as to cost, start date, materials used, and related information. We narrowed down our search to Strong Builders and another contractor and checked references. Luckily, we went with Strong builders. Our experience with Strong was outstanding. The job started on time, was within budget, the work site was cleaned up every day, Strong coordinated the inspections, subcontractors and material delivery so that there were no delays in the work schedule. Jack Whealan is a seasoned professional and perfectionist and the quality of the workmanship exceeded our expectations. We have several other projects on the to do list for 2016-2017 and we are going to use Strong Builders. We would recommend that if you are looking for a contractor go with Strong. You will not be disappointed.

Jack with Strong Builders did an exceptional job from start to finish. He is responsive, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable. Cabinet Repair- Deck Repair- Snow Damage Repair We had some damage from the winter that we didn't realize until we had our granite countertops installed. They cracked twice! We started to dig deeper to find a problem. We realized that our deck was pulling away from the house and a floor joist was bumping up into the kitchen making our cabinets uneven. We got several quotes from contractors. Jack was the ONLY contractor that discussed ways to solve the problem, so it wouldn't happen again next winter! He took his time, he looked outside, inside, under and over. He took pictures as well. We knew we were going to hire him even before we received the estimate. We were surprised when his estimate was the lowest! Strong Builders outlined the remedy for our situation which included pulling the deck back towards the house, reinforcing the floor joists with better bolts, re-leveling our kitchen cabinets, digging new footings for our deck and reinforcing our deck. All of this was done with painstaking care!. Each and every kitchen cabinet needed to be leveled by creating small pieces of wood at varying angles to create an overall level surface. This looked impossible to me! Other contractors told us we needed new cabinets because it wasn't worth it to fix. Jack worked with our granite company personally to be sure he understood what they said the problem was. Jack does not try to up-sell you either. He is highly professional in the fact that he fixes what needs fixing and works around what is structurally sound. When he started work, I was a little worried about my basement rug getting dirty, but to my surprise- Jack covered the entire area where he was working. He is a very clean worker and takes pride in his work. We are so happy to know that going into this winter, we will not experience the same problem. We are thrilled to have our kitchen counters installed! When we need more work done at our home, we will definitely hire Jack and Strong Builders! (Northboro)
