Contractor was hired to draw plans for additions on my home, He told me it would take Two weeks to complete, Its been Four months, I tried several times to reach out and find out why it was taking so long and all I got were excuses, If any communication at all. Contractor is keeping my money (1,000.00) for work that was not completed, I am glad I did not give him the full amount. I feel I am due the $1000.00 refund because the job was not even close to being completed, I would consider him completeing the job, but do not trust him.

It is unfortunate that there was so much misunderstanding between us Laurie, normally I have great communication with my clients. And in addition, I put everything in writing. For instanced our Design Agreement (in writing) stated that the upfront deposit was $1500. When we met you gave me $1000, and said you would have the rest for me in a few days. Weeks later, after I had already started work on the project, and the balance still not being paid, I sent you a letter stating that I could not continue the work until the outstanding balance was paid. Also, the work that I started for you, that you requested, was extra work according to our Agreement, and was sent to you via email. This consisted of ten 3d renderings of the proposed structures on your property, a detailed site plan with topographical grade lines, and a satellite photo of the property superimposed. All of this took considerable time. For my part I was waiting for you to have the balance of the design deposit ($500), so that we could meet and go over the extra work (topographical site plan and renderings) that I had previously sent you? which I explained to you on the phone and then by email. Thus, I was a little surprised when you asked me on a voicemail if you could go with another designer? I did reply a few days later that yes, it would be fine for you to go with another designer, and that the partial deposit that you paid ($1000), would cover the cost of the work that I had done (topo site plan and renderings) which you could hand off to another designer. So, I was even more surprised to see this negative review. So again Laurie, I apologize for the misunderstandings even though I don?t know how I could have been clearer. Hiring Tim was an awesome decision. He is an expert in so many phases of building à ¢à  à  plumbing, electrical, design, color, product, selection, etc. I was going to do an aging bathroom on contract with Tim, but before we were finished, I had to expand, the job to the whole condo because I knew I would end up with a beautiful transformation of this condo. And I did.!

Hired Tim during the last part of COVID to add a shop, a patio and a room addition. At the time, Don contractors were simply not available. But instead of leaving me hanging, Tim did the majority of work by himself. All the subs he did hire always remarked on how detail oriented he was. Highly recommended

Tim was , by far, the best contractor we have every worked with. He helped us with a great design and stayed within our budget. His attention to detail is unmatched. His knowledge is extensive and he quickly became not only our contractor but our trusted friend.

Tim, with Akamai was very easy to work with. He was very respectful and patient. He went out of his way to work with me on my budget and provided unique alternatives to the designs to stay within the budget. He designed a very beautiful Mediterranean two story home. His design is unique to the area, yet compliments the homes near by. He paid the subcontractors in a timely manner and made sure all those who worked on the house were respectful of me and my family. I would definitely recommend Tim for design and building work and I will work with him again for myself or family if the opportunity arrises.
