Reviews
Write a ReviewSpargo Construction helped me build a garage for a fair price and got the job done on time !
They did a great job building an outstanding house that my family loves! The experience was great and very reasonably priced.
We used Spargo Construction to build our Forever home. They did a great job ! From the customer service to the actual building process, they were great to work with. I adjusted our plans several times and Shane was very patient with all the changes. We love how our home turned out and will be using them again on our next big project!
Spargo Construction helped my mother get a new roof after a hail storm and they solved our problem almost over night.
I would not use Spargo Construction again. I would not recommend them to anyone. What a frustrating, disappointing experience. Avoid. - Likeable, charismatic people. At least in the beginning. - 18+ months in on a 6 month build, still not complete. - Overall quality of work is just okay. Some is terrible. - Work (electrical, plumbing, etc) performed by UNLICENSED workers with ZERO supervision or oversight from a licensed professional. Electrical wired incorrectly creating fire hazard that had to be pointed out by homeowner. - Work not to code. Failed many county inspections along the way. - Contractor completely unreachable. 10 months since I last spoke to him. will not answer calls, texts, voicemails, emails. Completely unacceptable. If someone asked me for a contractor recommendation for a similar project, I do not have one but I certainly do have one that I would avoid at all costs: Spargo Construction. They just do not care about a happy customer, or a well finished project.Â
Our company normally does not respond to online reviews, since anyone can post misleading or knowingly false statements, and Angi limits our reply to 500 characters. However, this review includes intentionally false, harmful, and defamatory claims about licensing, inspections, supervision, and code compliance that damage our reputation. Angi is reviewing it for removal because the SC Licensing Board conducted a full investigation and issued a letter clearing our company of all accusations.
once the project started it was one delay/excuse after another due to inability to get subs lined up to perform the work. Several times two to three weeks would pass with no work performed. Some of the work is decent quality, while work performed by some of the trades/subs is only fair (borderline poor) quality. Make sure to follow-up in writing any and all verbal agreements on work scope, compensation, etc. On the plus side, he is open to making small changes to the design/build without claiming "change order". Unfortunately, the project didn't end well so the final impression is poor.
This is a retaliatory review. We were forced to take legal action against the client for nonpayment.Few progress payments were made on time. Multiple trips had to be made to collect payments. Attorney was able to collect our final payment 6 months after completion. Building inspection records prove, construction was started and completed within 120days/16weeks(5/18-9/22). There were no substantial delays on this project. Client was responsible for several delays. Client refused to pay for additional material and labor provided, outside of the scope of the contract. Time, stamped photos of the site show it clear of debris. Punchlist was compil

Our construction has just begun but Shane Spargo’s attention to our wants is everything we need. He was able to determine what Rock Hill needed to move our project forward, Air-Port for the Airstream, workshop, retaining wall, excavation, patio and new driveway. He does what he says and explains everything to us.
Extremely professional with an extreme eye for doing a quality job. Their demeanor and approach to the project was above reproach. This company is the bomb.
Good trusting group of guys
