Write a ReviewThank you, Forrest!
they had a special witch included cleaning the furnace. It was like a new system when they finished. They cleaned and disinfected the ducts took the furnace apart showed us how dirty it was and fully cleaned it. Then they went outside and cleaned the compressor. Wow! My allergies have almost disappeared
Thank you, Richard!
Francisco was personable, knowledgeable and capable with a friendly, good work manner.
Thank you, Constance!
When I got estimate I was surprised at how much the young man knew about HVAC. He was knowable in correcting errors previous HVAC installer had done and took time to explain. Got three estimates, other two did not address correcting underlying problem. Cost of repairs was fair, and done on time (one day). System now works perfectly.
Thank you, Steven!
Socal climate control was very thorough and professional, they installed my new heat pump system and I am glad I went with them!
Thank you, Kelly!
The one score that was a 4 is due to the way they took my final payment from my credit card without getting approval
Thank you, Betty!
On 8/29/19 we hired SoCal Climate Control to repair our air conditioner as the blower had died. When they arrived they recommended that we replace the air conditioner and furnace. We had them replace the furnace and blower and when they replaced them the condensation from the chiller wouldn't drain correctly so we had them replace the chiller as well. Subsequently to the installation we noticed that we weren't getting airflow through the vents that we had with the previous unit but we were getting a substantial amount of cold air from under the door of the closet where the unit sits. It was obvious that the installation wasn't done correctly and we called to have them come out and fix it. On 11/27/19 (the night before Thanksgiving, during a rough cold spell) the heater died. I was able to finally reach a representative of the company on Saturday, 11/30/19, and they said they would get someone out during the next week. On the following Tuesday they sent someone out who looked at the unit and got it working for another day, after which it died again. I called and they sent a technician out again who claimed that the problem was a bad thermostat, which they didn't replace at the install. He tinkered with the unit and was able to get it running for a day or two after which the unit died again. At this point I had lost faith in the company to correctly diagnose the problem so I asked our general contractor (we're doing a home renovation) if they had a HVAC person who could look at it and one was sent out who examined the unit and immediately determined that it was a bad gas valve in the unit that should have been identified during the installation or at a minimum on the follow-up service call. I called SoCal Climate Control back (by now it's the end of December and we're still without heat) and relayed this information, at which point the guy on the phone said "you had someone else work on it, your warranty is void." No, I didn't have anyone else work on it, I had someone else double check the work of your incompetent tech who completely misdiagnosed the problem. We battled for several days and I threatened to take them to the contracting board and to court at which point they finally acquiesced and sent someone to take care of the gas valve. When the tech arrived he fixed the valve, which promptly failed again the next day and we're still without heat. I call again and finally they send someone out to replace the valve, and miracle of miracles we finally have heat after a month and a half. They repeatedly tried to charge me for service calls on their defective unit and when I protested a guy named Mike who claimed to be the owner said "we'll waive it but just leave us a good review.." Takeaways: From the state contracting board website, no Mike is listed as an owner under their license number 1043665, the only one listed is a Jose Mauricio Herrera Rios. Terrible customer service, wanting to charge you for service calls on a defective unit with defective installation. By the way, our thermostat is fine and running like a champ.
Mr. James E. We did the right thing by installing the new coil (your coil was crumbling apart, if you recall) and gave you a return client discount. We have 10 business days to respond to any warranty, and we get out to all of our clients expeditiously and in the order that the calls come in. We do not manufacture the units and quite frequently utilize the process of elimination to determine what the problem is. The bottom line is that we repaired the unit under warranty. There was no defective unit nor was there a defective installation. We are glad it is now working. Thank you.
Tai Kantor the lead technician came out to my house to diagnose and give me a quote for replacing the furnace. He was very professional and thorough in his assessment and troubleshooting efforts also very honest and trustworthy. Tai quickly resolved my issue, I could not be happier with my service. If/when my furnace or air fails again SoCal Climate Control will be the 1st company that I call.
Thank you, Dorienne!
