Two moves. One was file cabinets from my office to storage. They wrapped the file cabinets in plastic to protect them. The second was the furniture in my office to home. I garage sales most of it the following weekend. Everything was moved without damage.

I was gifted a very nice and very large LG refrigerator, but considering how large and cumbersome it is, I knew I should not even attempt to have myself or friends move it. So, I sought out professional help and Silver Star looked like a great option. I agreed to their price, and to be fair, everything was executed very well up to the date of the actual move. I suspect that the movers they dispatched for my job just were not very experienced. It was necessary to remove the doors of the fridge, something I had warned Silver Star about from the start, but these movers simply could not figure out how to do so. They tried their best, I will give them that, but after some considerable time they simply gave up when it came to the door that housed the ice dispenser; seeing as they could not figure out how to detach the wiring. Their intent was then to lay the door on top of the fridge, but well, it did slide off and violently tugged against the wiring. They muscled their way forward on the job anyway and made quite the mess along the way. Damage was sustained to my apartment and the fridge itself. One of the most annoying things being this incessant beeping that the fridge was making after it was put in place in my apartment. To their credit, Silver Star did send out their guys (2 separate visits over 4 days) to help with that and did get the beeping to stop; thank goodness. I have however hit a wall when it comes to asking for any help in regards to the damage the apartment has suffered. Near as I can tell, it is their intent to ignore me and hope I give up. That just will not do. This is a nice fridge and now it has been marred with this big dent. I am then afraid that the apartment complex will put me on the hook for the property damage; we are talking about flooring damage, a messed up window screen, and a big scratch in a kitchen cabinet. Please Silver Star; do the right thing and repair the damage that your workers caused.
