We talked about how he should do the work, what materials he had to use, he showed up to work 4 hours then he left, it took me more than a month to contact him I sent a lot of messages after that he told me that he had finished the work but what he did totally ruined the beautiful view from my house.

The owner comes on as very nice and friendly until I pointed out that he had never contacted me about when they would do the work. ( He and his workers showed up on a Saturday morning with very short notice as I was g preparing to go out of town.) Temper! I live in an HOA subdivision, so there are rules to follow. We discussed them, but he did not do what he should have done around the flower bed. The large blocks of cement they used is not like the photo he showed me of previous work. They are so large, they could not be extended to the third side of the area, Also, the steps he placed from my patio to the top of the red dirt mound does not reach the top. He was hired to stop erosion in my front and back yards. The front yard is fine, but I was concerned about my back yard because dirt had started coming down onto the patio during rains. I do not think the work he did will completely stop that. Besides, the steps to the back yard cannot be used because they placed 4 to 5 inches of pine straw over the red dirt at the top of the steps. If the pine straw is removed, the red dirt will wash down the steps. I called Dave while the work was being done to get things done the way we had agreed on. He did not return my phone call. I also asked about replacing dying shrubs in my front yard. He gave an estimate and said they could do that work the same day. We did partially discuss what he would do, but **some little things over there** is not an agreement. They did the work anyway and what I saw the next was disturbing. Those **little things** turned out to be yellow grass in a semicircle where a large shrub had been removed. There is nothing in writing; no contract, no design, etc. I will pay my bill because I am honest. I notice most of the 5-star reviews SLS has are from men. I am an elderly female. Did that make a difference??? Elderly Abuse?

Dave and team were fantastic! Their bid was competitive but his knowledge was over the top. They were very accommodating when I asked about doing additional work. His design took our yard to next level. They were enjoyable to work with and communicated well throughout the project. I highly recommend!

The was installed sod has large gaps between the sections of sod. The ground it was laid on was not leveled properly About 10 sq ft of the sod had crab grass The answer to these concerns were it will grow in. regarding the crabgrass was to apply pre-emergent on the lawn to kill the crab grass. For what I spent the quality of the work does not match price paid. It has been one month and I am still waiting for the material lien release I requested
