My husband and I are commercial and institutional architects, and we can be difficult clients for residential contractors because we are extremely specific. Andy is one of the rare people who not only meets that standard, but consistently exceeds it. Andy is genuinely a good person. He is honest, fair, and deeply cares about the quality of his work. Andy and his crew did a great job. The completed retaining wall was even better than I had pictured. The wall's old time stone mason craftmanship was a perfect compliment to my house and property. The work was professional throughout. Communication was excellent. Any unexpected problems were dealt with and solved quickly. The cleanup and landscape restoration afterwards was extremely thorough. We had hired a company to shoot foam under our concrete because the concrete around the house was slanting toward the house, causing rain water to seep toward the house. Well, that was a disaster because all it did was make all our concrete uneven, with tripping hazards and new places for the water to seep toward our house. We contacted Andy Sholl, owner of Sholl Stonework. He and his workers did an amazing job, and we are extremely pleased. They removed a portion of our driveway. a long walkway around our house, as well as two pads of concrete which butt up against our house (for trash cans, etc.). All of those areas were replaced with new concrete, making sure that the concrete sloped away from the house to avoid standing water. They paid great attention to detail, making the concrete look esthetically more attractive going around curves or cut-ins. Andy and his workers were so hard working, so professional, and so pleasant to work with. But the best thing is - their work was outstanding. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
