ENTIRELY TERRIBLE. Bottom line upfront - don't think an appointment means they will come or know what they are doing. Full Story: I've used Seaside Plumbing three times. The first time was great - so great I agreed to get a service contract to "put me at the head of the list for service." The second visit was to fix a toilet that ran continuously. Shortly after the plumber (Dylan) left it started to run again and a stopper he "fixed" in my sink was fixed by simply taking the stopper plug out and leaving it on my sink rather than replacing the strap. I called the office and back he came. This was a bad service but I chocked it up to everyone can have a bad day. Well today takes the cake. Seaside WILL NOT give you an arrival window when you book or in the morning. I came from Maryland to meet someone to work on my outdoor shower. I waited and waited until 3pm with no call. I called and was finally I was passed to dispatch who started to tell me they were too busy to come but maybe they

Seaside came in to do a plumbing inspection. Our tecnician was Jai and he was excellent! Very polite, timely and professional and most imortant, Jai understood exactly what I needed. I explained we were planning on listing our unit for sale and I was looking for any red flags from major to wish list. He did exactly what was requested and left us with a detailed list as well as options for a maintenance plan and without any pressure, just information. So thank you Seaside for listening and for Jai.

Got ripped off...do not use this company without an estimate, remember companies can get anyone to write a review to say how great they are, last week they charged $839.00 for a simple plastic 1/2" pipe repair in Fenwick, De. I was not there, my daughter was. So be warned - part of the bill said $360 - to lay down drop cloth, open hole in drywall, and sweep up. I called them 3 times, and sent an email, no one would call me back, this was before I posted anything negative - so be warned. CWO

Called and made an appointment on Thursday afternoon due to a leaking kitchen sink. Waited all day Friday, and was called at 6:30pm telling me that they could not make it and would have to reschedule. Definitely would not recommend this company. They also refused to let me speak with the owner. Poorly run company.
Response from Company:
I am sorry you feel that way Jason and [Consumer Name Removed]. Also apologies as I was not available yesterday to talk. From your perspective we are a poorly run company. And of course you have the right to choose who you want to work in your home. The tough part about being in this business is sometimes we have to choose who can we get to in any particular day. We never know how many emergency service requests we will receive in any given day, and we have to get to the people without water or have sewage backing up into their home first. And what no one sees is all the things that slow us down on any given Friday. (Just for fun yesterday alone a tire blew, a technician got sick in the middle of the day, and we got hit with a ton of emergencies.) // It doesn't matter though, It's also not fair to you. You have a problem of a faucet to replace, and a house full of company coming over soon. That must feel like a lot of pressure, and I can relate. We must have gotten Accidentally disconnected on the phone suddenly in the middle of speaking, as we were about to offer you a guaranteed next day first appointment. My action item is to have our Customer Experience Person look into your case, and look for areas that we could have done better for you. Either way, I think the bigger question we will be bringing up in a next meeting is how do we communicate more effectively than we currently do = a customers urgency versus an actual emergency? I'm not quite sure what the answer is, but I am excited to dive into it and improve in this category if we can. If you have made it this far, thank you for listening, and best wishes to you and yours in this holiday season. Sincerely, Josh

I hired them to replace all of the polybutylene piping in our house. The very young crew, led by a 19 year old, made a lot of mistakes. After they left, I discovered that they failed to connect a faucet in the kitchen sink, reversed hot and cold in the shower, left interior pipes exposed under a slop sink, and unnecessarily cut into and marked a wall searching for pipes that were not there. To their credit they reduced my bill for the unnecessary damage. They were to return the next day to complete the work for the upstairs bath. I canceled this and asked the company to send a more experienced crew. The second crew was also young but much better. They corrected all of the plumbing mistakes from the first crew and even cleaned up the stains on the wall left by a sharpie. At the end of the second day, I thought all was complete. I later discovered that an outside faucet was overlooked. I contacted the company and they quickly dispatched a crew, the 19 year old again, who quickly reattached the spigot. My impression was that they were using younger and less experienced plumbers to hold costs down. That would have been okay if properly supervised by an experienced plumber who would have checked to see that faucets were working properly and that the installation was done in a professional manner. I would use another company in the future.
Response from Company:
Frank, I'm sorry you had some issues with the installation, but I am glad you gave us the opportunity to make it right. Your impression is understandable, but inaccurate. We do attract young people to our trade, but for a different reason than keeping costs down. The rate of retiring plumbers (and tradesmen / women in general) is far surpassing the amount joining our trade. This is possibly stemming from 20 years of high school propaganda pushing college as the only solution. We are very proud of our school we have built here, to create tradesmen and women who will have a viable and sustainable career path, instead of tons of debt from a college degree. Please call and we would be proud to show you a tour of our training lab to help these young people grow. Either way, I will be looking into your scenario to see how we could have improved your experience with us. Sincerely, Josh
