Refine Design Architecture

It was great working with Refine Design Architecture for our cabin expansion. They listened to our requirements, offered feedback and produced designs that fulfilled our vision of an expanded cabin. We were not pressured into something larger or smaller than our vision. They initially produced "primary" and "alternate" designs until I realized one design would be much easier to build and maintain. Even our kids(8 and 10) input was considered and the new cabin will have a "kid room."

No words can describe how exceptional Julia and Stone are at their work. My husband and I wanted to build a bathroom and we needed their help with getting the construction permit. And since we never tackled such a big home renovation project, we initially really did not know how much we would need them (turns out, yes, we needed them very much and we are just so lucky to have them onboard). Not only did they research extensively into the building codes (including calling the city to sort out any confusions) but they poured so much thought into the design of our bathroom so that it made the most efficient use of space (I love their design). Their detailed drawings also make it easy for our contractor to know what to do, so we don't need to worry about the layout and we know exactly what should be happening with the construction. In addition, they also work with us during the construction process (e.g. to address problems with inspections) and are extremely efficient with getting things done competently and as fast as possible. As someone who always finds things to worry about, working with Julia and Stone has been a pleasantly worry-free process. As we've recently moved to Seattle and are building up a repertoire of trustworthy businesses for home-related things, Refine Design is most definitely a business that we will go back to in the future, and one that we strongly recommend without reservation for anyone looking for good architectural services.

Stone and Julia were very professional and extremely helpful in designing our project. Their patience and attention to detail were integral in configuring a change of use building. Stone's ability to help me understand complex parts of this project was amazing. I would highly recommend and will be using for any future projects.

I had the pleasure of hiring and working with Refine Design Architecture on several projects, both on the commercial side and a couple residential projects. Stone and Julia's ability to clearly communicate, walk us through the project roadmap, and collaborate on design concepts/feasibility allowed us to quickly arrive at agreed design directions for each respective project. The upfront attention to detail allowed us to minimize design iterations and control cost leading up to permit submissions. I was specifically appreciative of their ability to step into the construction administration and own the deliverables to our contractors for them to maintain momentum and focus on building.
