They did an awesome they were very polite and courteous when they talk to me and they were friendly and they were definitely knew what they were knowing in their job. They were just so awesome and were very knowledgeable of their job. Ive got a lot to have some stuff done. And if they could do it later on, when I got some money to put back for it, I hope they are the ones that come back out again .
Jeremiah and team did a terrific job on our new hot tub deck. The project was complex as it needed to be built on the slope, tie into the house, and support a large hot tub with gazebo. Jeremiah listened well and contributed helpful ideas to make the overall design better. The price was very competitive, with documented bids and invoices. The construction team showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves daily. We liked them so much that we hired them for another job right after. I would recommend hiring Jeremiah and his team.
Great work, great customer service, kept me updated throughout the whole process. They put my fence up in one day, and we have a pretty good size yard. The work quality looks great. We are happy with our new fence. Thanks!
We were moving here from another state and we needed to get a fence installed around our back yard as soon as possible as we have small dogs. We picked Jeremiah and his company because of some online reviews we had read. I called him and told him what I needed and when. He went out to our soon to be property and measured everything and called me back with some options and quotes. He seemed very nice and professional over the phone so we took a chance and sent him a deposit. We are so glad we did. As soon as we closed escrow on the house he and his crew were in our back yard doing the install. They did a great job and finished when promised for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Jeremiah and Pro Caliber Fence and Deck.
The team was professional, courteous, and efficient. They kept me informed with construction needs, which was a lot after a long term leak caused floor and frame damage. The crew also helped with flooring and wall tile chioices. They cleaned up constantly and the small bathroom floor and walls look amazing.
Overall good quality. Just a few soon to be problem spots. A lot of knots in the deck lumber. Top step board has large knot that already raised up. End of some boards not screwed down.
I would like to start off by saying these guys did a really great job on tearing down and rebuilding a new deck front and back for me they leave no mess behind great customer service definitely recommend

My fence installation was completed on 5/9/2024, so this review is 4 months after install. BLUF: Excellent quality work and knowledge. Great communication about project while in-person. Poor communication about coming and going. Unclear communication about costs throughout. Poor customer support after final payment. Will not use again. *The company* below means *Pro Caliber Fence and Deck*. *The owner* below means *Jeremiah Strawderman*. *The crew* below means *employees or hired hands for Pro Caliber Fence and Deck*. Knowledge and Work: - Mostly outstanding! - No other fencing company walked me through what would be best for my situation. - Very pleased with the crew. - A gate was installed incorrectly and needed repairs after 4 months (used different company). Pricing and Costs: - Very pleased with the initial quote. - I believe the cost should have decreased at the end, but I did not argue it because things happened during this project where I know the company lost money (Ill explain below). - Your cost may go up if material cost increases, and your cost will not decrease if they use less materials than quoted. There is no written policy on this. - My initial invoice pricing never changed. The amount of material and labor required during the job turned out to be less than the original quote, and the owner said money would come off of the labor. The total remained unchanged even after reminding the owner. Im okay with it, but its not great practice. - The company bought the wrong fence posts initially. The owner told me this was *on them* as far as cost (plus the correct posts were in the original invoice), but toward the end of the project the owner used it as an excuse for why money did not come off the total. It was a crap excuse, but I took it as meaning he was not going to take any money off and the series of events made me okay with this. Timeliness / Logistics: - Multiple things affected the timeliness of this project that made the company seem like they didnt have their stuff together logistically. - Day 1 was supposed to be post install day. They bought the wrong style of fence posts. The correct style is in my original invoice, but there was an oversight. - The business they bought cedar stringers (two-by-fours) and pickets from had ruined their stringers (two-by-fours) when they arrived to pick up the materials, so they had to repurchase stringers (two-by-fours) from another business. - During install, the air compressor for the companys nail guns died, so they had to buy a new air compressor and new nail guns. - After returning with new nail guns and air compressor, the crew had realized they purchased longer nails than intended and had to leave to buy the correct size nails. - A couple times the crew would leave without a word and come back many hours later. Communication / Customer Support: - Communication was mostly great while on site. Very friendly and willing to explain things. It lacked when off site. - Times for showing up or returning to site were rarely communicated. - When it came to communication about costs, it came across as hand-wavy/unclear/misleading. - At fence completion, the owner said to me, *If you need anything at all, please contact us.* The owners interaction with me does not support this attitude.- We agreed on a metal gate latching system versus a pull-string on my single door which was not installed after my final payment. After 4 weeks of getting a different timeframe that they would be installing the new latch and then didnt show up, there were a couple of fence pickets that could use replacing so I asked the owner if they replaced that sort of thing. The owners response was, *Its wood. Thats not on me,* and lectured me on how I got a deal on pricing and repairs cost them money instead of simply saying *no*. I got another company to complete their job and repairs.
The work that was invoiced for was completed. Customer wanted to change latch styles on a walk gate and felt This was my responsibility for not only material also the labor to come back out and change it. Also within a month of the job being completed there was a picket that had a cracked off the side just a little from a knot in the wood. (Cedar) Workman ship is always covered as the state of Alabama requires it to be covered for up to 2 years, but I am not the manufacturer of wood, nor can I stay in business doing free work.
