Reviews
Write a ReviewGood suggestions beforehand, on time, on budget, polite, cleaned up after. I am slightly concerned as I hear the flexible water supply (pressured) pipes they used don't last long (a year or 2!!) Otherwise would be 5 stars.
The work was superior, clean, on time and excellent.
If you need a plumber hire Rick and his daughter!
Rick and his crew came ready to work. They were careful and clean, used drop clothes to protect the floor, furniture and all other properties. Very professional. I would use them again.
He was very nice and polite.
I called RC plumbing to my house. Upon arrival and meeting my nanny who was home as I work, my nanny was greeted harshly. In my nanny's words, "Maybe he is racist?" As described to me, she said hello and rather than a friendly greeting was asked abruptly when she said she was not the owner, "How am I going to get paid?" My nanny also reports that when my 2 year old son approached to say hi, he was told, NO! I had texted prior to arrival asking for another job be done when he was here. When I asked how much, he replied, "I don't know, we charge by the hour." (no worries.) But I had left a note saying I hope the plumbing job is quick and if time you can help me with the other job. If not, no worries, just call when you look at the job. Well, I got a very angry call. I was immediately asked sharply, "How am I going to get paid?" I replied that I expected to be invoiced as is practice with others and after I can look at the work. He was angry at this and I said I can give my card. Still angry, I said I can have the nanny give him the check. (gosh!) I asked if he looked at the drain. He said no. I asked if he saw the parts that were removed by another and he rudely said, "Those parts mean nothing for me-I'd have to look." OK... then did you look at it I asked. He said no, he'd have to look through the panel in closet- I was like... OK. Go look there then. He sharply growled as I explained the job for the third time (once via text, again via the note I left) that the water would not stop draining. He almost yelled at me describing how he looked into the tub and that it was a $800 job as he'd replace the type of drain I have. I wondered how he can say that when he did not even look at the fixture I have to see what the problem was. I wanted repair- not replace! I hung up and through my nanny learned of his behavior when he arrived. He also laughed in an insulting way about my note and the other job I was completely willing to pay for AND texted with pictures prior to his arrival. What a rude, rude man and he is never going to do work for me again. I think this was a repeat call. **Since then, the drain was fixed, now can flip a lever to stop the drainage of water for a bill that was invoiced to me after work was completed for $175!!!!! But he needed to tear it up for $800??? Be ware!!!!!!!
Hi Carol, Just wanted to clear the air. Not I, or any of my employees are racists. Also, I am a small business. Unfortunately, we do not do invoices or credit cards. We require a check after the job is complete due to weekly costs. We felt that the proper way to complete the job was to start fresh with a whole new assembly, rather than tinkering with old parts and parts that other people had bought. Also, the other job that you asked us to complete was hanging a medicine cabinet. Which does not relate in any way to plumbing. We had done a job for you before, and everything went well (I thought). Also, you did not mention in your review that
Rick was very informative and did what was best for our situation. He taught me and my fiancé a ton that we didn’t know about our own home. Rick and his company came to our house only one hour after I even downloaded the home advisor app. He showed compassion for our “leaky” situation and was quick at fixing it. We will certainly be calling him again when we decide to remodel our bathroom.
This was my first time using HomeAdvisor and I could not have been more pleased. I called Rick just before 5pm on a Tuesday when I noticed a significant leak under a bathroom sink. He offered to come by Wednesday morning first thing. He arrived promptly, quickly identified the problem and made the repair, and provided an invoice. He was very professional, neat, and friendly. Will use him again without doubt.
Arrived on time, very professional and pleasant and left the work area clean. I'm very pleased with the work that was done.
